Golfers set their bags up to be prepared for as many different shots as possible. Hit the ball in a bunker, and out comes the sand wedge ready to do battle with the current conditions. It stands to reason then when the weather takes a turn for the worse, a player should have the apparel to properly face the precipitation. Adidas Golf has been known to produce high end apparel to match any type of weather a golfer will see on the golf course, and with the ClimaProof Gore-Tex rain jacket you will not need to worry about having a little rain ruin your round. From Adidas Paired with the matching pant, the climaproof® GORE-TEX® full zip 2-layer rain jacket is the ultimate rain jacket. It has you covered from the articulation at the elbows for increased mobility to the fully seam-sealed design. You’ll be dry and focused; that can’t be said for your playing partners.
- Center front storm flap double secured with zippers and Velcro closure
- Fully seam-do sealed

The old saying of when it rains, it pours, is certainly true on the course if a player has not invested in a quality rain jacket. Nobody wants to be enjoying their round, only to find themselves stuck in the rain without the proper attire to keep from getting wet. This Adidas ClimaProof jacket was put to the test in those rainy conditions that unfortunately we have all dealt with throughout the season. With a Gore-Tex outer shell, the waterproofing of this jacket need not be questioned. The material of the jacket is light, but the total package would probably best be considered a mid-weight jacket. Wearing on days with temperatures on the cooler side, this garment did a nice job of keeping the water from getting in, while not allowing the warmth to escape. Not only did it serve its purpose of being a waterproof layer, it also battled the wind well by providing a barrier that stopped the wind from cutting through the fabric. With its high-quality material, swinging a golf club was not hindered at all. The fabric moved freely throughout the swing, even with extra layers on underneath. Velcro-fastened adjustable cuffs present the ability to tailor the sleeve length to a comfortable level. Doing this allows for a consumer to get a sleeve length that works best for them and one that won’t pull or grab when executing their next shot. Along with the ability to adjust the sleeve length, this jacket also features a draw string at the bottom for golfers who want a tighter fit around the waistline. Without tightening the drawstring, this jacket seemed to run a bit long. When it comes to pockets, the ClimaProof Rain Jacket offers up just the basic two to the consumer. The interior pocket material is very soft, similar to what you might find in a valuables pocket on a golf bag. Both pockets are protected by zippers that have a waterproof seal to them, thus keeping up with the predominant feature of this offering, keeping the water from getting in. Utilizing these pockets to keep a glove dry proved to be an excellent idea during rounds played in some steady rainfall. While it’s not fun to think about golfing in those rainy conditions, golfers should do their best to be prepared on the course for when that foul weather comes through. This jacket does not only look good, but it also performs well at keeping golfers protected from the elements. Offered in two color options, White and Royal Blue, the Adidas ClimaProof Rain Jacket can be purchased for $225.00 at www.adidasgolf.com.
Nice spotlight. Adidas usually has good products and this seems to continue that
Well done Dean. Looks like a nice option for climates like mine, but that price point is a little offsetting.
Nice review! I really like the looks and the features of this jacket, but the price is way outside my comfort zone.
Great review Deano, I bought one of these a couple of months ago and have had occasion to use it only once but it did its job perfectly. I recommend them to anyone needing a new rain jacket.
I hate golfing in the rain because of the wetness factor. But a good rain jacket can make the experience enjoyable. I need a jack et that allows me to swing without getting in the way.
Fantastic looking (and sounding) product but WAY out of my price range.
I really like the look of this rain jacket. On spring and fall rainy days it will keep you warm as well. The rain jacket I have now is made of a cheap poncho like material. So, it doesn’t help at all with wind and chill only rain. In spring and fall it’s chilly here when it rains.
Nice review. I only golf in the rain when I absolutely have to, so that would be tough for me to justify purchasing. Sure looks comfy though.
Great write-up. I like the jacket, not a fan of the white but in NE you can’t underestimate the value of a great rain jacket.
I am really digging the look of the blue. Plus warm and dry is always good in NW Ohio.
