Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today Dan welcomes THP Staff Writer, Dean to the show to talk about putters and winterizing golf.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dean joins the show to talk a bit about the balance point of putters, keeping warm on the golf course and changing grips. This fun episode has a lot going on and it is an episode you will not want to miss as Dean goes Off Course.
Episode 82 is here and Dan and Dean discuss the following topics.
Putters
Sacks Parente Series 99
Staying Warm During Colder Golf
Dan Needing To Change Grips
And so much more
You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or of anywhere you do your listening and downloading from. You are going to like this one. I just finished listening and the balance point stuff is awesome.
And @Canadan needs new grips.
@JDax will love this combo.
I would as well!
Oh, absolutely.
Can’t wait for my morning meetings to finish and get this queued up!
Big Lakers fan eh?
Yes, but which ones?!
@ddec did.
#NotILines
This is so unhelpful
I have heard that Off Course episodes that feature @ddec age like a fine wine.
Jealous of the SP 99.
As am I! Get me that beauty with a top dot or line and let’s go to work.
I think I’d nickname it "The Great One"
I was thinking if @ddec is only playing once every 6-7 weeks, he could send that beauty my way and I’d stroke the dust off of it for 2-3 rounds per week. I mean, I’d be happy to do that for the team.
I absolutely LOVE change when it generates improvement.
"What should I change?"
"everything."
"Examples?"
"Yes."
"What should I change to?"
"Definitely."
One length. ?
Quite generous offer you make here
The one hard stop. Not interested.
…and it has absolutely nothing to do with trying new things
I hope so. Because I’m told they initially have that skunky beer taste
Can’t be worse than a mallet, but I get it.
The mallet broke my putting stroke for every bit of two weeks. It was terrifying.
Mallet putters are the ?.
You might be on to something here.
Wait. We have a video showing you getting "better" in every aspect of alignment with a different putter.
You went back to yours immediately.
Hmmmm, Blade vs Mallet.
You are exempt from this.
It is far more complex than that.
So change for better, doesn’t matter because @jdtox was right
It was determined that my alignment in many ways was intentional based on the conditions of my stroke and setup. And that I make subtle changes to support it.
You’re not going to have much luck tagging @jdtox while talking about my putting game.
Give me a different example.
This is true, you putted lights out last weekend.
You said better. The alignment was better.
It would be hard to say change to show better, when you don’t change to try hahahaha.
Give me any other sample that doesn’t include putter or one length.
Golf ball….I won’t go there, but its hard to see change, when trial doesn’t occur longer than a hole
I guess I like the ? then. Been malleting for almost forever! I could be convinced to stroke a Plumber’s neck Chicago with a 40 gram weight it in.
