Week 2 in the FedEx Cup playoffs on the PGA Tour saw a return to form from Rory McIlroy including getting the flat stick sorted out. The Major Champion came into Monday’s final round right in the mix and walked away with the win by 2 strokes. The finish vaults McIlroy’s standing in the playoffs to 4th from 38th after last week’s finish and right in contention to walk away with the 10 million dollars.
Here is a look at the clubs Rory McIlroy played in the victory.
Driver – Nike Vapor Fly Pro 9.5* with Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana 70X
Fairway Woods – Nike Vapor Speed 15* & 19* with Fujikura Rombax Pro 95X
Irons – Nike VR Pro Musclebacks with Project X 7.0 Shafts
Wedges – Nike Engage 47, 52, 56 & 59 with Project X 6.5 Shafts
Putter – Scotty Cameron Prototype
Ball – Nike RZN Platinum
Great to see Rory back and winning again, golf really benefits from him playing well. Amazing what happens when his putter fires he’s really hard to beat. He’s actually very similar to Adam Scott in this regard I think!
I wonder how his game will fair when he has to change over to a new golf club manufacturer from Nike?
Good job, Rors, way to send Nike Golf equipment out with a bang!
