Scotty Cameron Xperimental

Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Putters

Two of the Scotty Cameron’s most iconic putter shapes are about to get Xperimental. While we have long known that SC does all of their limited releases in a manner that turns heads with the attention to detail, the Xperimental limited releases certainly kick it up a few notches.

Officially being titles the “2025 Studio Xperimental Limited” line, the goal with this release is to give amateurs the opportunity to snag two tour prototype inspired designs, the legendary Squareback 2 and Fastback 2.

By putting a title like “Xperimental” on this release, the Scotty Cameron brand isn’t simply trying to make some random grab at attention. No, this one truly is all about opportunity, specifically making something available to consumers which they otherwise would likely have no chance of experiencing. As Scotty Cameron himself puts it:

With that in mind however, these are not just some finish slapped on a standard putter design. Both head shapes are multi material designs consisting of a 303 Stainless Steel body and 6061 Aluminum sole configuration. Not only that, the spectacular “chain link” face milling is present on the black nickel SCS face insert, Tour driven dual parallel sight lines, a stunning plumbing neck, and wrapped up with a Steel Gray PVD finish.

When discussing these two putters, Senior Director of Putter R&D Austie Rollinson had this to say:

The Details

In terms of design, the Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Squareback 2 is a mid-mallet setup with, as the name indicates, a much more squared off appearance, for those who like sharp lines. The application of a plumbing neck creates moderate toe-hang, while the shape itself increases MOI compared to a standard blade.

On the other side, the Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Fastback 2 marks something extra special, the first time a plumbing neck and this shape have combined in a release to the public. Previously seen in CT setups, this combo blends moderate toe hang with a much more flowing visual shape than its sibling.

Both putters are paired with a premium graphite shaft, classic Scotty Cameron grip, and will be priced at $850 each with a worldwide release on 10/31/25.
