SeeMore PVD Classic Putters

SeeMore has never been one to shy away from understanding that while you can stick with what works when it comes to shapes and such, that doesn’t mean you cannot evolve the materials and finishes involved. That is exactly what the company has done with their “PVD Classic” lineup of putters.

The line itself was developed to bring some of the most successful SeeMore shapes into a modern blending of affordability and performance. Centered around a cast 303 Stainless Steel head, the company uses a milled lightweight aluminum face insert to bring improved feel and balance. All of the heads are then finished in a hand polished smoke charcoal PVD that visually differentiates from the other SeeMore offerings while seeking to keep a premium look in-hand.

While the PVD Classic line isn’t new, SeeMore has brought some more shapes into the fold and with their presence now in all PGA SuperStore’s it is worth taking a closer look at what they have added into the fold.

SeeMore PVD Classic Model B

The FGP Blade shape was a foundation piece to the Classic line just as it is for SeeMore as a whole, and while the Model B at first glance may look similar, this is a very cool variant on the classic design we have seen in other lines over the years. The key difference is that the “weight block” in the flange of the putter is tweaked and repositioned to make a much cleaner blade look with more flange visible at setup.

The Model B is face balanced at impact and as such showcases SeeMore at their best performance design wise. The putter is full toe-hang and a straight shaft only offering.

SeeMore PVD Classic Model M

The Model M is a very deep flanged design which has some aesthetic similarities to the FGP, Model B, and even the FGP2 shape. The overall look is very squared off, which the company believes will appeal to blade users as well as those who prefer a mallet. This one is also face balanced at impact and should excel at reducing the manipulation needed in the stroke.

The Model M has 15-degrees of toe hand and is also straight shaft only.

SeeMore PVD Classic Model C

This one is a bit more unique, the Model C is a new design according to SeeMore, but if you are familiar with the brand then you know this center shafted blade takes from a few different designs the company has produced in the past. There is a lot of curvature to the Model C which definitely differentiates it in the Classic line. Most interestingly, even with the modified heel and toe weighting the head is also face balanced at impact.

There is zero toe-hang in the Model C and is straight shafted only.

SeeMore PVD Model T

Now, the Model T may very well be the most impressive addition to the SeeMore PVD Classic lineup, not because it brings the company’s version of an extreme heel-toe weighted fanged mallet to this price point, but because there are three different options

First, the Model T in its standard form is a straight shafted design which has 45-degrees of toe-hand and is not face balanced at impact like the other models we have touched on.

Model T Standard Straight Shaft

The next variation is in an offset whistle shaft that not only makes the putter a traditionally face balanced option, but helps those golfers who prefer the look and feel of their hands being just a bit forward at setup, which should make it appealing to more golfers.

Finally, the RST Hosel takes things to a whole different level of trying to broaden appeal to those who don’t like a straight shafted putter. This one uses SeeMore’s variation on the plumbers neck which still allows use of their foundational RifleScope technology but in a crank-hosel like look. The RST Hosel allows offset while keeping the point of connection closer to the sweet spot than a traditional plumbers neck. The Model T RST has 25-degrees of toe hang.

The Details

As you can see, it is quite the series of additions to the PVD Classic lineup from SeeMore, but perhaps most impressive is that they have kept all the models at the same $250.00 price point, even the RST Hosel Model T. The Classic Series is available now directly through SeeMore, at various retailers, and in all PGA SuperStore locations.
