Shaft Up Finale at Victoria National was the Experience of a Lifetime

Shaft Up has been part of the THP Experience lineup for years, and the Shaft Up Finale has become the culmination of that journey. While the equipment and formats have changed along the way, the basic idea has stayed consistent.

Working with UST Mamiya, the series gives THP Forum members access to the type of fitting and equipment experience that can be difficult for everyday golfers to find. Participants work directly with UST Mamiya’s Danny Le, get fit into equipment built to their specifications, and then take it to the golf course at some very special venues. Over the last year, the LIN-Q PowerCore line of driver shafts has been the star of the show.

Bringing Shaft Up Participants Back Together

The Shaft Up Finale adds another layer by bringing previous participants back together for a team competition.

This year’s Finale took place at Victoria National Golf Club in Indiana and featured three teams, Moose Lager, Golferbois and Calm & Combustible, all vying to defeat THP’s Josh Babbitt and UST Mamiya’s Danny Le. The format covered 45 holes over two days, beginning with 27 holes of round-robin shamble best-ball matches.

More Than a Golf Competition

We wanted to bring you along for the ride to see what makes Shaft Up so special. The competition provides the structure, but the bigger story is the people, personalities, UST Mamiya relationship and the kind of experience Shaft Up has become over the years, with Victoria National providing an incredible backdrop.
