One of the most asked questions with new wedges as of late is what grind should I get and how does that relate to the bounce of the wedge. As companies are putting out more options than ever, it is important to make sure you find something that fits not only the swing, but the type of shots you are using the club for.
In this video, Michael Vrska talks to the icon of wedges, Roger Cleveland about different sole designs as well as what amateurs should be looking for when choosing their wedges.

Excellent info from RFC as always. Very good explanation of bounce and how to use it, and what the different grinds can help players do.
Impossible not to learn when the legend, RFC, speaks. Excellent interview by Vrska. Really glad that THP, and the OEMs, are driving more education about bounce and grinds. Definitely a learning opportunity area for me personally.
Super helpful as I’m shopping for new wedges to replace those I bought a few years ago “off the rack” with zero knowledge about grinds and bounce. I bought a c grind MD3 last year and it was a game changer for my 60 deg. Fits my swing perfectly.
“More Bounce” I think that’s really important for most to hear Roger say. Also the CG placement on these MD4’s is just spot on. Perfect.
All you have to do is listen and you will learn more than you know. Rodger dropping knowledge bombs.
Listening to this video takes me back to ECPC and the short game lesson. Roger has a way of explaining what you are doing and how to quickly fix it without clouding your head with too many thoughts.
Bounce is your friend!!! Great info!
“Bad things happen when you use the leading edge”
Haha that was funny. Talking about the nuances in chipping vs pitching was great.
