Being a lefty in golf can feel a bit like being the middle child, often overlooked, misunderstood, and left watching others get all the cool new toys. At times, it probably feels like unwrapping socks for the holidays while everyone else is handed the keys to a brand-new sports car.
Of course, left-handed golfers arenāt shy about voicing those frustrations. Because of that, they tend to form strong loyalty toward brands that actually cater to them. Thatās exactly what Sunday Golf is aiming for with its newest release: the Ryder Lefty Bag.
Sunday Golf Ryder Lefty
Yes, you read that correctly. Sunday Golf has designed a stand bag specifically for left-handed players.

Most stand bags, like much of the golf industry, are built for right-handed users. That means they are designed to be carried over the right shoulder, with strap orientation and pocket placement optimized for right-handed use.
With the Ryder Lefty, all of that is reversed.
āOur Ryder Lefty bag has been years in the making and was built specifically based on customer feedback,ā said Brand Manager Camden Wicker. āWe had dozens of people ask for this style golf bag ever since we came out with our first full-size bag, and after seeing that there wasnāt an option on the market for lefties, it really became a no-brainer. To all the lefty golfers out there, this oneās for you!ā
A Niche Productāor a Long-Overdue Solution?

Just how much demand is there for such a thing?
Honestly, that is the million dollar question, and Sunday Golf is clearly banking on being able to tug at the hearts of lefties with this one. Of course, it really is a unique option, and it does address a bias. Personally, as a left-handed person who golfs on the right side, this is something that is kind of hilariously brilliant.
With some thought though the question becomes after so many years of ingraining use of a traditional stand bag, how easy would it be to move to the Ryder Lefty, even for a lefty?

Hey There! Since you asked…..I imagine like most companies, the Canada site might take a little longer to update? I don’t see it on that site yet, which i imagine would be better for me to order off of….(shipping etc)
Anyway, no worries if it takes a few days we’ve still got snow here. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that
(Yes, yes, a lefty agitator AND a Canadian site truther…..i am not popular here….)

Haha thanks for the comment here!
We have a different distribution setup for our Canadian site as a heads up, so they have different product in stock as it’s shipped from a different warehouse.
Will let you know if they ordered some in their latest inventory batch and get back to you.
Thanks so much for your interest!
I’m a righty golfer and a left shoulder carry guy….and I happen to be in the market for a golf bag. Sun Mountain made a left shoulder carry bag a long time ago. I currently carry the Jones Classic which is essentially ambidextrous. I’ll consider this bag.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Can get back to you on that – for now I believe it will just be available on our US site. Will see if our distributor ordered some, though.
Thanks again!

Thanks – will keep an eye out!
I actually think this is funny while being pretty cool, and I hope people snatch them up
I tell every young left handed person āitās a right handed world and you will have to adaptā.
I am super intrigued by these. As a lefty, i have just always put up with bags as they are and not put a ton of thought into the design. I get how this could be helpful. If i hadnt just bought a bag i would be all over one of these.

Talked with our team and our UK distributor hasn’t ordered that bags, so no ETA there at the moment, unfortunately.
Hoping that they jump on board and order this soon, though.
Thanks and sorry that I can’t be more helpful here at the moment.
Will be sure to keep you in the loop!

Any word on Canada?
Apologies for being persistent just would rather not order off US site if possible given shipping and tariffs

Same situation for Canada – our distributor hasn’t placed an order for them, so there currently isn’t a timeframe for those to be available on Sunday Golf Canada.
Would recommend ordering off our US site (we unfortunately don’t ship to Canada, though) if that’s something you can pull off.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful here, but will be sure to keep you in the loop!

Ok all good, thank you for the transparency and guidance. I’m in the US a lot, maybe I can work something out while there
