The History:

Independent & Strong * Confident & Smart * Spirited & Proud

In a nutshell, these words describe SWING by bette & court. They define the team that produces outstanding garments for women in the United States and in over 10 countries worldwide. These words also describe our customers, the many women worldwide, who enjoy our clothes day in and day out. These women take pride in leading active, meaningful lives and want fuss free clothing they can count on to look their best.

We were founded in 1991, by Maria Erickson, as bette & court golf collection. bette & court – derived from Maria’s maiden name, Betancourt – started as a premier manufacturer of women’s golf apparel and resort wear. SWING, an acronym for Sporting Women’s Innovative Gear, launched in 2004 as the performance collection for bette & court.

In 2008, Fantasi International, owner of both brands, bette & court and SWING, consolidated its ladies fashion and performance apparel under one name: SWING by bette & court. ” The positive response to SWING during the last 4 years has significantly exceeded our expectations. We believe SWING resonates with female golfers and successfully addresses the needs of women with active lifestyles. SWING takes us beyond golf “, claims Erickson, current president and CEO. Given the remarkable acceptance of SWING performance apparel, it is Maria’s vision to take SWING beyond golf into other markets as well.

The wonderful people at Swing sent The Hackers Paradise two outfits which are showcased throughout this article. First you have the brown Bermuda shorts with the white tech polo with brown accents. This outfit is for the traditional golfer who loves their earth tones. While the colors are simple the design is anything but that.

Creative stitching and a fun collar takes this sophisticated top and adds some flare to it. The material of all the Swing items are just incredible. This tech material feels so sleek on your skin and you can immediately tell how well this top will breather during a long round of golf. The stretch is also great for swinging because the clothes will move with you without any friction…maybe that’s where they really got the name Swing from?

Looking at outfit number two one can see it has a lot more color and reminds me of a great seersucker outfit at the Kentucky Derby. I love the vibrant pink color and the bold horizontal stripes in the pants. The pink piping on sleeveless top really pops with that bright collar. The texture to the white portion of the shirt adds great dimension that you don’t normally see. Unlike some of the low-rise bottoms you see on the course these pants fall on your natural waist not your hip bones. Don’t be intimidated by the stripes, they are extremely flattering and are the perfect compliment to the sleeveless top.
