The Ryder Cup always has a way of blending tradition with bold statements. The uniforms, the chants, the energy—it is all bigger than a normal week of golf. This year, TaylorMade has decided to bring some of that spirit to the tee box with a special release: the Qi35 Ryder Cup Edition Driver.

A Driver for Your Team
TaylorMade is giving golfers two choices with this release: Team USA or Team Europe. Both carry the same performance DNA as the standard Qi35 driver, but with designs that make it clear where your allegiance lies.

The Team USA head is dressed in dark blue and red with white trim, while the sole carries a detailed map of the United States. Flip the driver over and the face pops in solid red with white score lines and a bold USA mark right in the middle. The shaft, a Fujikura Airspeeder 50, is finished in white with red and blue print. Even the headcover brings the theme home, stitched with an American flag and wrapped in red, white, and blue.

On the other side, Team Europe gets its own standout look. A royal blue face and sole contrast with a gold crown, and the map of Europe is stamped proudly on the bottom. Silver and blue score lines frame the face, while the matching Fujikura Airspeeder shaft comes in blue with gold and white print. The Europe headcover follows suit with blue and gold as its base, paired with silver Qi35 and Metal T logos.
Built on the Qi35 Platform
The Ryder Cup graphics are the fun part, but underneath, this is still a Qi35 driver. That means golfers get the same near zero center of gravity projection and very high MOI that make the club stable and forgiving. The multi-material construction blends chromium, steel, aluminum, tungsten, and titanium to create a head that is as strong as it is sleek.
TaylorMade has also packed in its full suite of modern technologies. The fourth generation Carbon Twist Face helps energy transfer across more of the hitting area while offering some alignment benefits at address. The Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, adjustable loft sleeve, and high inertia shape work together to keep ball speed and spin consistent, even when contact is not perfect. Add in the Trajectory Adjustment System with two moveable weights and there is room to dial in both shot shape and spin.
Available Options – Qi35 Ryder Cup Edition
Both Team USA and Team Europe versions of the Qi35 Ryder Cup Edition Driver come in right-handed 9.0 and 10.5 degrees of loft at 460cc. Length is set at 45.75 inches with a D3 swing weight. Each includes a Golf Pride Z-Grip that ties into the theme —black and red for USA, black and gold for Europe.

Final Thoughts – Qi35 Ryder Cup Edition
The Ryder Cup only comes once every two years, but the conversations and memories last much longer. TaylorMade’s Ryder Cup Edition Qi35 captures that same energy in a driver built for real performance. It is not just about owning a limited design. It is about taking it to the course and showing your colors every time you tee it up.
Qi35 Ryder Cup drivers are priced at $649.99 USD and will be available on their website taylormadegolf.com.

These are ugly.. TaylorMade usually does these quite well. But these are gross.

I’d be surprised to see any Ryder Cup player putting a QI 35 in play regardless of colorway. It just isn’t good for most people. I don’t know any decent player that kept one for more than a few weeks.

The Qi35 max is actually very special. 10k moi and low spin. It’s very forgiving and plenty long for an average golfer. I’ve tried every driver from the big four this year and the Qi35 max stayed in the bag. Easier to hit than Ping and definitely longer. I did not like the Qi35 core model though.
When the faces inevitably start popping off of these I wonder if they will replace with the same version or just give you the normal edition
