Earlier this year, TaylorMade released an updated version of the TP5 and TP5x, which introduced a new SpeedWrapped Core for added speed, while enhancing both sound and feel. Today, they are introducing the benefits of the 360° ClearPath Alignment Stripe, which brings visual alignment benefits to what they believe is the most complete golf ball on the market with the new TP5 and TP5x Stripe.

The TP5/TP5x golf balls build on the success of the Tour Response Stripe, which has been on the market for over two years. The positive feedback and performance benefits from amateurs and professionals made it clear that a new release was on the horizon. Although the Tour Response Stripe isn’t designed with professional golfers in mind, players like Tommy Fleetwood have still used it for putting practice. Due to its additional alignment benefits, Fleetwood has used the TP5x Pix golf ball on tour. With this release, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a TP5x Stripe golf ball in his bag soon.

TaylorMade recognizes that the Tour Response and TP5 golf balls cater to different types of golfers, with the more serious players preferring the TP5. Taking this into consideration, the TP5/TP5x features a colorless 22mm ClearPath Stripe instead of the bright colors found on the Tour Response. This lack of color, known as the ClearStripe design, provides the same alignment benefits while maintaining a clean look that is preferred by accomplished golfers.

“The reason golfers have fallen in love with the 360° ClearPath Alignment Stripe is because it really allows them to lock in on their line from behind the ball. The immediate feedback about how the golf ball rolls is pivotal as well.” – Michael Fox, Senior Director of Product Creation, Golf Balls

TaylorMade has reorganized its tour-level golf ball lineup into three categories with the introduction of the TP5/TP5x Stripe. The lineup now includes the “core” line, featuring white and yellow golf balls, and the tour-validated “vis-tech” category, which consists of the new TP5/TP5x Stripe. In addition, the USA Pix golf ball offers the same benefits as the technical Pix 3.0 but with more personality. To highlight the TP5/TP5x Stripe as the tour-validated vis-tech golf ball, TaylorMade will be discontinuing the orange and black Pix 3.0. The USA Pix golf ball will still be available for those who prefer its version of clear path alignment, but it will be categorized separately as a “personality” product.

The all-new TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x Stripe are available for pre-order starting today, with in-store availability set for Thursday, August 29th with an MSRP of $57.99.
You can find them at WorldWide Golf later this week.
For anyone that’s been following my ball thread you know that these aren’t one of the top two that I’ve been bouncing back-and-forth from.
However, today when I arrive to the golf course the guy at the counter slid me a tester, pack of TP5 stripes. Why not right it’s not yet handicap reporting season here.
I didn’t really bring my best swing today. Body is a little tight from not swinging a bunch due to work.
I have made some good shots though, and it feels great off the face of irons. Really nice off driver too. I played the same course on Tuesday. I feel like I’m getting a little bit more yardage off the tea box with TP5.
The stripe is absolutely fantastic for putting I love it. It makes me want to make the other qualities of the ball work for me so I can use it on the green.

And yes, this fell a little bit too much to the right and I missed it. ?
