We were offered bags several times but as @JB said that’s not why we are there and to be honest I don’t need any of that crap anyway haha

They are there but we don’t indulge. We aren’t trick or treaters walking around with storage, but boy do they exist.
Once watched someone walk up to a KBS booth that had golf towels for people and literally take the entire stack of about 100 and put them in a garbage type of bag
Looked like most people had a backpack on, that could accommodate 100 KBS towels….just in case !
I think i shared this but 14 way users rejoice

Right next to pickleball feels appropriate
I give all the Martini Tees I find to my 80 year old golf buddy….he loves them AND his 14 way

Any good Swag from the show @Jman @jdtox ? or is that considered a nono since you aren’t techically buyers??!!

Personally, I’m always there to work, there are plenty of trick or treaters there without me adding to it ?

Right!?!
I’ve never understood the ‘grab it all’ mentality at trade shows.
Thanks to all of you that followed along this week. So much more to come (working my butt off at this very moment actually), but wanted to give one last taste of the scene at the show.

This is pretty cool, kids clubs, but adjustable hosels so you can keep them in the same heads, but add longer shafts as time goes by and they grow

That makes me really happy to hear. We didn’t see the awards handed out.

Sadly that person was probably my wife’s family ?
Not proud.

I hope they make their goals on the kickstarter, ship all their pre-orders and take their profits and run… Because I don’t see this having any real audience outside of tech guys who think they look like a lumberjack, and ride a 5K carbon bike carrying their 2K in golf clubs to their 20K a year country club leaving their 100K Tesla Cybertruck in the garage of their million dollar condo to be environmentally sustainable.
That’s a pretty small market…
They should get acquired by Erik Anders Lang lol.
There’s a guy who rides his bike to one of my local courses, but he has a neat trolley setup that he tows behind his bike. He rides through the course with it, too. Making a bikepacking golf bag that you’d remove when you arrive at the course is kind of dumb. This is like one of those ideas that only works for NYC, but that should be a big enough market for them.

I get to go to a trade show/conference every year. All sorts of Knick knack stuff. I really only take notebooks – cause it’s the only thing I used to run out of. Transitioned to even less paper this past year so still have a handful from last year. I’ll be happy to be traveling lighter this year ?
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride again this year @jdtox @Jman @Hawk @JB A lot of steps for you guys covering it & I know all of us appreciate it very much (y)

I find the cart portion of the show really interesting. Living in the Boston area I find the concept of owning your own cart quite alien, though I knew one gentleman who wintered in FL and had his own cart, which he said he could drive from his home to the golf course, and even go shopping with it. I think that would be pretty awesome.
They’re street legal everywhere in town here, you see them all over the place. My neighbor drives his cart to the course (about 4 miles), people take them grocery shopping, out to dinner, down to the lake to hang out, etc. Some people put serious money into their golf carts, they cost as much as a car – lift kits, custom wraps, stereo systems, all kinds of bling.

I would venture a guess that it is the fastest growing segment of “golf” and it wouldn’t be close

It wouldn’t surprise me at all, it seems like a huge money industry. I don’t see many “stock” golf carts among the personally owned ones around here, every one of them is upgraded/customized.

And the lifestyle is wonderful. Using our community as an example we have about 20 restaurants inside the neighborhood, two grocery stores and banks, etc and all built around cart paths. Funny part is, there is no course here

It’s great that you guys have the cart paths to drive on, to keep you separate from the car traffic. Here they just drive on the streets wherever they want to. Most people stay off the main arteries in town just for safety, but they’re not prohibited from being on them.

Which is ridiculous…pull some strings and have a cart path cut between here and Palencia. Then I would join a course.

Congrats @Mmaynard11
Just got back from a week away and I read the 80 pages.
Thanks @JB, @Jman, @jdtox and @Hawk for the hard yards, photos and insights – great to see the show through your eyes, and looking forward to all of the follow-ups and info that comes from it.
Seeing a few other posts scrolling through socials and there is still stuff I don’t remember seeing. I thought we hit just about everything but there is so much there its literally impossible to get it all. Going to scroll through my phone later today and see if there is any pics I neglected to post as well.
Thank you guys for taking us along, Great job!!!
Was Square golf launch monitors at the show???

I would love to go to this show, except I have non of this:

I have a friend that is in the business and he got me credentials one year. It was very cool to get to go and walk around for a couple of days. I am going to try and go back again at some point.

I am interested in this one as well. I like the fact that it has a screen to use outside. I don’t love needing my phone out to see numbers.

Wonder how it does it the heat. In the summers here in NC I can’t use my MEVO during the day as the sun causes my iPhone to overheat and shut down. Fairly annoying TBH.

As much as i don’t want to move on from my X5, that G6 is sharp.
The X5 touchscreen and my fingers have just never worked well together.

I will be interested to see how the touch screen on this is. I don’t feel like the X5 touch screen is as good as my friends with Garmin watches. Obviously the shot tracking is way better but the screen could be better.

Any interesting new releases with center shafted putters and/or zero torque putters from brands other than Lab? I know odyssey has their square2square putters and there is the PXG zero torque center shafted putter.

Bettinardi has I think 2 different models of zero torque putters
I really wonder who they consulted with that said there is a market need for this? Especially the bike part. No one is going to do that. And certainly you cannot take that anywhere near a course.
I could see this being of interest in NYC for example if you need to take public transportation to get to a golf course or a simulator. Also good for people (like kids for example) that might want to ride a bike to the golf course.
What do you think of this golf “bag?”
