If you can’t like a guy like Scottie… who are you liking??
I do t dislike Scheffler either .. but he’s like cardboard … Dull , Colourless and Boring .
Give something with a Heartbeat. And some emotion , at least you get a reaction …
Now that ca be either positive or inverse .
But at least it initiates something.

Did anyone see the guy with the Egg Salad hat on behind the tee box at 16? I’m sure it was mentioned in here but I want that hat. 😆😆😆
Yes he was sitting next to someone , who had
“Now Driving” hat .
What a great week. The Masters delivers.

Good time to be one.
I almost wonder if some rules might change about practice limits leading up in the future Calling it a home course you play non stop while skipping pga events might not go over well.

Rory ascends another rung. I wish he would stop stumbling all over himself in these things.

Like they say, ‘Golf is Hard’ even for the professionals but at times it makes a person wonder. IT appears Rory is going after a few more majors. Rory’s comment ” “I’m not putting a number on it but I certainly don’t want to stop here”.

It makes sense…what does winning a non-major do for him at this point? 30 tour wins, 6 majors, career grand slam, more money than he can ever spend in a lifetime, etc…
I’d be looking to join the elite group with 10 or more if I was Rory and that’s where all my focus would be.

They are kinda headed towards a true 2-tier system anyways which is probably for the best
Have the top 50 guys play the same 14-16 events, then the rest of the events are for 50-125 essentially.
I always felt LIV for that right, they just never had enough exciting players

Agreed. Now he can just use the rest of the tournaments like a tuneup for the majors.

It’s certainly possible for him to get a few more. Phil won 5 majors after turning 35 and Jack won 6. It was a long time ago when fields weren’t as deep, but Hogan won 8 Majors after turning 35.
We had 4 people with the correct winner and highest staffer which was also a tie with Brooks Koepka and Hideki Matsuyama. We had to go to the RNG.
The winner of the contest and the awesome Srixon prize pack is @cagolfer

CBS is getting some heat for its poor coverage of the final hole yesterday. As in its inability to initially show where Rory’s second shot ended up.

They should. Both Rory and Young’s approach shots were lost and had no idea where they were as those guys walked up to the green.
Scottie sometimes says such crybaby things. Multiple the course wasnt fair comments that just drive me nuts.

I thought the course was very fair. They could have made it much more difficult if they wanted to.
I missed most of it yesterday since I decided to be a nice dad and take the boys to a Savannah Bananas game. I caught the final holes and what is crazy to me is that Scottie played the last 36 holes bogey-free yet couldn’t take advantage of the par 5s. He’s going to have to figure them out.

I agree. He complained about how the speed of the course changed each day. Complained about the draw but shot two over on Friday with a early morning tee time. Complained about this, and complained about that. I just dont like it.

That is unfortunate. It’s the same course everyone plays, and you should expect some differences day to day with weather, watering etc. At lest he did not pull a Sergio. 🙂
@ddec i wanted you to hear it first.
After watching certain players handle how things went for them, watching how they interacted with the patrons, the one I was most impressed with was Rose. I can’t root for him in a Ryder cup year, but I hope he wins a major this year.

I don’t expect these guys to chat during their final round but after hearing Cam Young comments about Rory kind of irks me about the guy. I get it. Cam doesn’t talk much but seems like Rory brushed him off again. It’s the final round of a major championship I don’t expect full-blown conversation like your best friends, etc. you are competing against the guy however this seems like it’s not the first time we’ve heard this about Rory.

They all played the same course and he knows the tour flip starting times, Thr vs Fri and then you have play better on Sat. I sure hope he doesn’t turn into a Whiny boy. Not a good look.

That’s because people are specifically asking about Rory based on Bryson’s comments last year. I mean how much do the pros really talk to each other in other rounds or events?

Why would they talk to each other, its a darn competition, playing for millions and millions of dollars. This isn’t your weekend buddy golf outing, the media is just trying to be relevant to do nothing but draw in viewers and readers.

Yep, the media trying to create drama. Tiger was focuses and driven when he did not talk to people, but Rory does the same and all of a sudden he is a jerk? Trying to win a major, I would embody the Quiet Assassins logo. 🙂

Rory is a little d-bag so it doesn’t surprise me one bit, but Cam doesn’t exactly strike me as the most social, outgoing guy either so I’m surprised he’d even try to make conversation in the first place. I haven’t seen what he said, but I’m surprised he’d even comment about it.
I don’t know why the players even take the bait from the media scum, who are just rage-baiting to drive clicks and comments. If they ask about something like that, just shrug it off and say “We’re not there to socialize, we’re there trying to win the Masters.”

He did mention that he’s not much of a talker either and that they were in the final pairing in the final round. They were out there to compete, not become friends.
