One of the most distinctive experiences we offer this community is back. This event is designed to ensure you have the ideal tools for your game and to deliver that experience in a truly extraordinary way. Spend the day being personally fit for custom wedges by Titleist at their world-class Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
You will work directly with Titleist experts to identify the precise specifications that elevate your performance, including bounce, grind, and a deeper understanding of how each element affects your short-game. It is an immersive, hands-on fitting opportunity unlike anything else.

First time ever for this east coaster!
I know its early. But I am curious. Is anyone taking clubs? Or is this a show up with nothing and learn about wedges trip?

For me it’s all about Vokey, Vokey, Vokey, and Vokey. Going in deep, but will do as instructed.
Posted this in the other thread last night, may have been the nog talking but I’ll drop it here FWIW.
Is it too early to talk wedges??
The children are nestled all snug in their beds and I’ve got visions of Vokeys dancing in my head.
Here’s the current gang of suspects (or mistakes). Pretty dated, not one fitted or purchased new. Somewhere in the garage is the K grind 58 but it’s absent from the picture.

L to R
50* SM8 – Full swing club, usually first choice for lower shots under 100 yds.
54/58 with S400 shafts. Probably too heavy for me, but still had to try.
Next is 54 with S200, 58 with a soft stepped 8i S300 (another experiment)
Missing is the 58-11K, it’s interesting.
Last two are my favorites. Old 256-14 with a DG115 and 60/8 M S200.
I’ve been trying the 50-54-58 gig for a bit now….then that 56 comes out and I can’t put it down. If someone said I could only carry one wedge past PW, it’s easily the 56. It gets most of the work, 60* is just for short sided stuff and deep trouble.
So that’s where we’re starting here, lots of FAFO…so much in fact it’s stamped on the 56. It’s going to be a totally eye opening experience. I’m guessing they’ll have me figured out in less time than it took to write this, which will be mind blowing. ?

1. I don’t think there was any of this. I was a bit more reserved that I normally am but I think that’s always a given.
2. I forgot to take…more stuff from the employee store ? …shoulda bought more. There wasn’t anything I needed to take with me. Everything was there.
3. I wish I’d been able to hang out that last day. We had a family emergency come up that necessitated me having to leave really early. It turned out okay but the initial news wasn’t encouraging.
That being said, I enjoyed every second of it.
I didn’t do anything that I wished I hadn’t
I forgot to take a picture with Bob Vokey
I wish that I could have participated in the pre-experience round with the guys.

Ohhhhh I love these:
1) Honestly, slowed down and tried to appreciate everything a bit more. TPI is a world class facility – everything is perfect and intentionally placed, the views are incredible, and everyone there is the nicest person you’ve ever met – but I kept having to remind myself how lucky I was to be there. Everything will go in a BLUR – soak it all in, take all the pictures you can (but please ask first), ask all the questions, and keep pinching yourself.
2) I wish I would have bought more in the Titliest store – I wear the hoodie I picked up there all the time and wish I had 3-4 more in different colors. Plus I also should have picked up that Scotty…just for the hell of it. :ROFLMAO:
3) One regret is in the evening, we did a loop on their short course and I wish I would have engaged more with playing partners vs just hitting golf shots. Pack some beers in the bag, hit a shot or two, and just enjoy the hang at the most perfect place on Earth.

1. What did you do that you wish you hadn’t?
There’s really nothing I wish I hadn’t done.
2. What did you forget to take?
Maybe some sunscreen? I got fried at Arrowhead, but I should’ve just popped a hat on. I didn’t really forget to take anything. The experience comes with a nice place to stay, lunch/dinners and a full schedule that takes care of you while you’re there.
3. What do you wish you’d done more of?
I was pretty reserved, so I wish I would’ve interacted/asked questions a little more, but I have no regrets from the experience overall. TPI is first class and they treat you so well. I’d go annually if I could afford it and had the time lol.

Same, the bounce discussion will be interesting.
Is anybody doing anything to brush up on their wedge game? More golf, more sim time etc? I’ve been focusing a lot on fixing my swing and have been trying to make better contact. Shooting for 50/100 shots a day so I have good fundamentals for the team to look at.
It’s pretty much all I’ve been practicing this year anyway. Trying for a SIM trip or two and course when weather allows.
Don’t worry, I’ll lay sod over the first swing to get it out of the way for everyone.
