Throughout much of the country, different seasons bring different elements to the golf course. Currently we are in the middle of summer, but coming up soon will be fall and the temps drop a bit and the leaves start falling.
If you are in an area where this can be challenging, you are not alone. With that said, when an item arrived at our offices called the Golf Breeze by ZoomBroom, I had no idea what to expect. Before diving into the trial, what or who is, ZoomBroom?

Randy Kuckuck was playing golf with friends in Michigan in September. The scene is exactly how you would imagine it with every green and tee box covered in leaves and golfers kind of shuffling their feet or using their putter as a broom to clear the path. It was with this scene that the idea for a blower that fit in golf bags was thought up.
A golf leaf blower that was light weight, would have enough battery life to work with for a round and could fit right into a golf bag? This was initially called the Typhoon, but after a few pivots, became two separate products. The ZoomBroom, which is a light weight leaf blower and the Golf Breeze, which is the exact same product, but with a thinner handle, designed to fit right in your golf bag.
Most are probably thinking that this is pretty crazy, but you will remember this article once the seasons begin to change and you are met with the challenge.
Under 2 lbs which includes the battery
30 minutes of charge which easily gets through a round of golf
75 mph of power (enough to move wet leaves)
USB-C Charging
Fits in Golf Bag
For those wondering how ridiculous it looks in the bag, we used a headcover and it can be seen below.
The million dollar question is does it work? The answer is yes. Obviously there are some caveats such as this is made as a portable leaf blower. It’s not a gas powered, where it on your back blower that is going to handle a dozen garbage bags full of leaves. It was tested on pine needles on the golf course and sand/debris on our office outdoor putting green. It worked. In fact, better than we could have imagined.

A simple side to side motion while walking and everything was gone. I think at this point, most have used a leaf blower and could imagine this working rather well. In fact, I bet most with seasons have thought about how nice it would be to have something like this in the past. That brings up the next part of the conversation.
Price. The cost is currently $179 with free shipping. Is it worth it? For some, the answer is going to be absolutely. For others that might only encounter this periodically, that price would be challenging.
All costs aside, the ZoomBroom Golf Breeze does everything you could ask it to do. It is super light weight to the point that I didn’t notice it was there. While our testing took place during the summer, we had no issues with what was thrown at it.
Is this a device that would come in handy for you in the fall? For more information on the Golf Breeze or the standard ZoomBroom, check out their website at www.zoombrooms.com.
I have that problem in the fall with so many leaves, since we’re all over the woods where I play. I’m not saying I would use it likely, but it would be awesome.

Check it again, it appears to be playing now.
This could be really useful even in small situations around the house. I always question durability reliability with some of these types of products but I’m intrigued
cool to see something like this come to market, a few friends and I have always talked about playing a lot of fall golf

Sure does, thank you.
Seems to blow well, sounds a lot like my flextail – which makes sense.
It could be used pretty well for just any small job, so you can buy it for golf and use it for all sorts of things.
I really like it. The head cover trick is a great idea @JB
Now that’s innovation! This could get a serious look from me in the future.
This is such a genius idea.
This is a great idea, much better than trying to pack a small leaf blower. The fact that it can fit in your bag easily and be hidden with a head cover is fantastic.
That’s a cool idea but for $179, I’d probably just bring my Milwaukee M18 leaf blower
This seems to have a shocking amount of power for how small it is.
Where was this when I lived in the north? Right now this isn’t something under the need for, but if situations were different I would consider it. Price point seems a little high, but if this last I could see it providing a return on investment. As for the battery life, that is better than I get on my leaf blower at home. Ingenious idea putting a headcover on.
Another idea taken from my brain! Mine didn’t fit in the golf bag though. Looks pretty cool!
That’s awesome!!! I definitely could get use out of that as I often play in the winter when my course ahs been closed for a day or two and need to blow pine needles and what not off the greens.

Pretty cool. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked up to a green at my home course and had to clear a path.

Hit it closer ?
Have one hole at my home course where this would be handy in the fall.
Innovative idea- I see folks all the time posting that they took their leaf blower’s to the course and used them to clear leaves/snow.
Perfect for the Golfer that has everything and their family doesn’t know what golf item they can give them for a gift.
I’d guess it could come handy in a small home as well.
A few golf courses here desperately need this thing lol
Pretty cool gadget, for sure. Small and sleek and can fit in the bag.
However, If I am having to pack a leaf blower in my golf bag to clear the greens, I’m finding a different course to play.
This looks pretty cool but not something I’ll need in Houston. I can definitely see it’s use in the north and looks like it could be very useful (especially for wet leaves)

Exactly. The leaves dont exactly fall off the trees in Florida.
Cool idea but they’re missing the mark on price point. Needs to be under $100 to make it easier for families to buy it as a gift for dad. Otherwise, I’m bringing the small battery leaf blower I already own. Really only need it for a few weeks here and there.
I like it. I do not like it $180 worth
We have discussed this for more than 20 years at my old course which is heavily treed and in the fall it can take a lot of time to clear the leaves. I am not sure I would pay $179 for it but it is pretty cool.
I have no real need for this in Miami, but I could definitely see it as being very useful for some golfers north of me.
For those of you who think that the $179 price is too high, what would your suggested price be? I know someone said $100 and I agree with the reasoning, but I just don’t know how you get the cost of goods low enough to make that work assuming that a lithium battery is being used. If you go to the site, a $20 off coupon came up for me making it $159, FWIW.
Also, I wonder if they could have just tried to integrate a handle adapter so there was no need to have two different products. I am almost sure they thought about this, but having such similar products with two different final versions mush be a logistical nightmare when it comes to importing, storage and shipping.
Its an interesting product, looks well made as a Michigan golfer I can’t say I see a need to spend that kind of money for essentially a leaf blower to carry around in my bag in case I need it. A hat or towel works just fine.
Definitely a useful product to have up here when the leaves start to fall on the ground.
Some rounds it may just be a few leaves, others enough you could take a rake to it…. and others where you may not find the ball at all for the leaves.
Legitimately, I would be using it in the rough/trees to try and clear things up to find balls in the fall.
Pricey I suppose for something more compact. Could just throw a cheap Ryobi battery powered blower in the cart for cheaper….. but having it fit into the bag is great.
Not sure I need it for where I play normally, but it is pretty cool nonetheless and has a sleek design to fit in the bag. Actually looks like you could get some utility out of it at home for very light stuff too which could be an added benefit. $179 is a bit pricy though.
or play a course that cares

While I deal with this a lot in the fall in MN this is not something that I would be having in my bag or carry with me, already don’t have room for other things. Maybe in the fall the courses could send you out on a cart that had it attached to it or in the problem areas and greens put one close by for all to use. Cart attachment would probably be the best because of degenerates doing dumb things with ones on the course. An option may include paying a small fee to have them send you out with one attached to the cart if you want. Then you would know who is sent out with one and not everyone is going to want one. I know the golf course would have to pay for them but being they aren’t that expensive the small fee would eventually pay for it depending on who really wants this. I don’t know just brainstorming here as I would not personally buy and put in the bag but it would be nice to have for some fall rounds.
Maybe I can get one & ride around various courses & make $5 a hole to blow off the greens. HA! “yeah heylet me get those leaves out of your line for ya!”
Every minimalist bone in my body is screaming right now….
Not a bad idea. I’ve lost golf balls in the middle of a leaf covered fairway.

I kept reading the comments to see if anyone else uses a towel like I do and glad I’m not alone.
We don’t have much of a leaf problem here so it wouldn’t be much use on the course, but the Zoom Broom would be a useful tool at home and the cost is in line with most other cordless leaf blowers.

Not sure about that. I’m seeing highly-rated cordless leaf blowers that blow in excess of 100 mph that cost 50-65% what this one does. I don’t know the specs on this one, but at its size I can’t imagine it has anywhere near that kind of power.

pretty cool solution to an annoying problem … glad to see it actually works well and isn’t just a silly gimmick

This was my thinking. At $79 I likely still wouldn’t buy it, but if I had a gift card or some Amazon points to use up, could see picking one up.
For $179, hard pass. I’ll continue to brush leaves away with my putter or hand.
I actually have a small lightweight Black N Decker 40v blower that I could just as easily bring and leave in the power cart basket…. if I truly felt I needed it but even in OH its not all that big a deal. Usually the only thing that ever poses a problem to a putt are the little maple tree whirligigs (helicopters). Those I make sure to brush away.

Leaves are an issue here. I have always relied on clearing or brushing them away by hand. I’m not sure I would want or would use a blower. Besides they do a very good job at my club with clearing leaves from the course and from the greens.

If I needed to use it every other round I played, I would see the value at the current price point. The reality is, this product’s target audience is middle-age and up muni players who play golf in the fall on tree lined courses. Even a low end private club is going to have the greens blown daily if needed, if not two or three times a day. And muni golfers often seek “value” when playing a non-private course, and that most likely carries over into other golf related products they purchase. Thus my thoughts on the under $100 price point.
This legend could sell it at any price! (in four easy payments, of course):

I’ve been taking my Makita handheld with the long nose attachment to course for years. A carabiner on the handle and stuffing the nose into side pocket of bag works. All my buddies laughed at first….till I cleaned up their line for their putt. NOW? They get all over me if I FORGET to bring it!
