THP Inside Look – Tour Edge Exotics XJ1 Fairway Wood

The new Tour Edge Exotics XJ1 line is the most advanced metal woods lineup the company has released to date. With the premium price of each club, we wanted to find out more about the technology and materials that go into making a fairway wood quite like this.

Arriving at the Tour Edge headquarters in Batavia, IL you are greeted by warm and friendly people that love the game and are proud of the products that they put out. One mention of the new XJ1 line (hitting stores next week) and smiles take over the faces of the staff and you hear fun questions such as “Have you hit it yet?” immediately. The club is the talk of the building and they are as excited for the launch, as golfers should be to take some swings with it.

THP sat down with David Glod, founder of Tour Edge, to discuss what went into making the XJ1 Fairway Wood, and talked about everything from the types of metals used to how in the world they all get put together.
