Great ITR episode. My fav tip was the idea to putt to a tee instead of a practice hole. His anecdote on his driver distance his last year on tour made me chuckle, cant imagine that in today’s world.
I enjoyed this show – thanks to Russ from GolfTec for coming on!
Appreciated the dialogue on putting and the tips that were shared; definitely plan to implement some of those into my practice & pre-round routine. Those stats at the beginning were scary and I think that 3 feet is further than most people realize.
The driving distance dialogue was very much on point….no one would ever exaggerate that. 🙂
JB: you now have me wondering if I am really “over the top” on my right misses or not! uh oh…
Good show, guys!
Loved this show. Tons of great information and I’m going to use the putting tips in my practice routine now. Thanks for doing this.
Great show . Russ thanks for all the great info
Awesome podcast. I enjoyed the tangent about baseball players and golf. It was interesting to see the myth busted.
PHENOMENAL podcast from start to finish.
Loved the show, I really liked the part about somebody hitting that one shot perfect and thinking that is their distance for that club now lol. Would love to hear a follow up show with more myths
Wow great show, first thanks JB I never knew I could listen to these on my phone, the funny thing is I’m that guy on the practice green rolling 40 ft putts, next time I’m going to try sticking a tee and practice rolling to the tee from 10 ft and in. What a great tip. And guess I have to find a new excuse, since I can’t blame my play on playing softball. Lol. Thanks again to Russ, JB, and all of THP, look forward to the next show 🙂
Great show!
I liked the debunking of the myths.
Finally got the time to listen, great show and thank you Russ for the great information. Excellent job with the interview JB.
Thanks to Russ for helping out this episode.
About the putting, he didn’t mention drag putting? hehehe
Good idea on the putting to a tee suggestion.
I have a hard time agreeing with the notion that the practice greens and the regular greens are similar. At least at the courses I play.
+1 on the not focusing on hitting the ball further but instead working on the short game.
LOL @ finger quotes.
I am so guilty of the tips from magazines and how it will help me out so much! In reality? Not so much! haha
Very good show this week. I was locked into this one. Thanks to Russ again, and look forward to GG being back next week!
Great show guys….good info from Russ…really enjoyed the putting info and drills
I did miss GG though
I completely agreed about the softball/baseball thing. Playing baseball never hindered my golf game at all. But after playing golf my baseball swing goes to crap because it causes me to dip my shoulder and i pop the ball up a lot…SO frustrating.
Good stuff guys! Love the myths!
This was a great show. Russ did an amazing job talking about the golf myths that are out there. One of my more favorite shows that has been done.
I got to listen to this yesterday morning and it was great! So much great info from playing drivers with too little loft to practicing putting. I loved when he talked about putting to a tee because I do this and find that it is super helpful, also my local course has a few cups cut on their practice green that are barely bigger than the size of a golf ball. I love to practice putting into these from different distances. It has definitely made me a better putter. Great episode!
Great show guys, really enjoyed it. I liked the putting section, and the bit about amateurs always coming up short. Stuff we all should realise and don’t admit to ourselves!
Great show guys, thanks Russ and THP. I love to learn, especially in golf, these show’s always have great info.
Another excellent show! Just more proof that I need formal lessons. By guess and by golly can only take you so far in this game. Lessons are definitely in my future!
Such a great show. I like the advice about playing to your average rather than best shot with your iron distances. Really helped me get from out of the 100’s into the 80’s and 90’s.
Great show. A few things jump out at me in it. I need to quit “trying” to generate more driver speed and concentrate on impact. And more importantly to my game, it’s time to really pin down my average distances with my irons. I come up short of the greens at least 75% of the time.
Excellent show. I like how Russ emphasized that one golf tip does NOT fit all. I loved, JB, that you shared with us about how a grip change was instrumental in improving your game. Everyone needs that outside 3rd eye, if you will, to see what we are actually doing.
Great show, enjoyed the putting tips.
Great show, good stuff!
