The golf Gods made viewers wait an extra day, but the Monday finish results were what many expected.  Rickie Fowler gave us some fireworks, but when he found the water twice on the late par 5, already down two shots, the ending was near. Tiger Woods wraps up his 3rd victory of the 2013 PGA Tour season with only a few weeks away from Augusta, where he will be the favorite.

With this latest victory, Woods finds himself atop the World Rankings once again (1st time since 10/2010), however here are some other very impressive statistics.

77 PGA Tour victories and only five behind leader Sam Snead.
8th Title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, matching Snead for the most ever at one tournament.

Here is a look at what was in his bag for his 3rd victory of the early 2013 season.

Driver – Nike VR Tour 8.5*

Is Tiger Woods your pick heading into Augusta? For many, the bigger question might be Tiger Woods vs the field, something we have not asked ourselves for a number of years.

he has to be the pick heading to Augusta even though he has not won there since 05. The guy is playing some great golf and is back to dominating courses he usually does. It was a heck of a climb for him to get back to number 1, 6 wins in the last 52 weeks is impressive.

  2. Cookie says:

Very impressive victory, hands down favorite heading into Augusta. Cool to see a Covert club finally make it into the bag.

  3. TripleBogieTim says:

If he continues to putt the way he has in his last couple of events I think you have to list him as the favorite

  4. DevRickus says:

Couldnt be happier. Love when Tiger is on his game. Just amazing to watch.

  5. Puttin4Bird says:

He’s back to being the favorite each and every time he tee’s it up. He has started 2013 absolutely perfectly and I think he’ll wind up winning at August as well. Seems to be no stopping him right now.

  6. War Eagle says:

He has to be the favorite going in to the Masters. Tiger vs the Field, as it should be!

I think it’s about time i put him in my Fantasy golf

  8. dcbrad says:

He’s on fire, that’s for sure, and he’ll be the favorite heading in to The Master’s

It’s hard to imagine anyone winning a tournament 8 times in a career, I guess the crazier thought is he’s young enough to win a few more at Bayhill. Congrats Mr Woods well done!

    Tiger back on top!
good to see him playing well again. it’s great for the game.

What I noticed is the par 5’s. He seems to be playing them very aggressively again. -4 today on the 5’s. It is a great advantage for him and one he did not seem to be taking full advantage of.

Tiger deserves to be favourite and is no question the player to beat. His form in 2013 has been tremendous and seems to be finding his game again.

There will be a lot of pressure on him at Augusta because once again everyone is expecting him to win. He hasn’t one a major for over 5 years though.

I’m just looking forward to watching play and seeing the beautiful Augusta National Golf Course.

Everything is right in the world again!

You are kidding yourself if you think this isn’t good for the game of golf. Trust me, I love seeing the young guys step up like they have the past couple of years, but golf is seriously better with a healthy, dominant Tiger Woods lurking on leader boards and coming down the stretch at tournaments.

I agree Tiger is the favorite. That said however, let’s remember he hasn’t won a major since 08. The pressure in majors is higher than other tourneys… If he doesn’t let the media get to him he should be ok. It’s a good timing thing that him and LV announced they are together… That would not be something he wanted to ‘leak’ right before Augusta
