During its annual PGA Tour stop at The Memorial, Titleist unveiled its latest lineup of drivers, generating high anticipation due to the success of its previous releases, including the TS, TSi, and TSR drivers. Those drivers were all developed as part of the Titleist Speed Project, which has been a massive success, resulting in them being the most-played driver on the PGA Tour for the past five years. Today, we can finally share the official details of the new Titleist GT drivers. There has been a lot of talk and speculation about this lineup, but one thing is for sure: Titleist continues to build on its momentum and, with a significant material change, shows no signs of slowing down.

“The GT line represents a monumental leap forward for Titleist driver design and engineering,” said Stephanie Luttrell, Director of Titleist Metalwood Product Development. The breakthroughs we made in material, construction, shaping, and design weren’t possible in prior generations. All the advancements found in GT are working in concert to create the highest-performing driver we have ever made.”
Titleist’s GT release marks a significant change as they move away from using a titanium crown and introduce a new era of drivers with a never-before-used crown material. Each driver in the GT lineup features a Seamless Thermoform Crown made of a Proprietary Matrix Polymer. Titleist realized that to enhance the speed of the TSR, they needed to move away from the all-titanium designs. This material change resulted in an approximately three times lighter crown, which unlocked significant internal weight changes. Furthermore, wrapping the crown around the edges and down to the sole provides the advantage of manipulating the center of gravity locations and lends itself to an incredibly clean and seamless look.

Titleist fans may be concerned about the impact of the new crown material on the classic Titleist driver sound. The industry’s shift towards carbon fiber/composite crowns has varied drivers’ sound profiles. For Titleist, maintaining their unique sound was a top priority for the R&D team. Thankfully, the new proprietary matrix polymer not only reduces weight but also possesses unique acoustic properties, enabling Titleist engineers to fine-tune the sound profile. This ensures that golfers will have a driver with exceptional sound and feel.
The new crown material allows for significant internal adjustments. Switching to a three-times lighter crown has created many new possibilities. Club designers always aim to remove limitations and explore countless options, and that’s precisely what occurred here. As a result, Titleist engineers developed a new Split Mass Construction, allowing them to place weight exactly where it’s most beneficial within the clubhead.
With Split Mass Construction, weight was divided up, with some being pushed low and forward to dial up the speed while the remainder found its way towards the back of the head to enhance stability and increase MOI. The positioning of internal weights differs across the three heads of the GT lineup, as they have three distinct profiles. This allows golfers to find the GT driver that offers them the best combination of launch, speed, and spin. With all the possibilities, the easiest way to determine which head works best for your game is to go and get fit.

Another change that was implemented due to the shift from titanium was the aerodynamic properties. Thanks to the new internal construction and weight distribution, Titleist was able to take a closer look at how aerodynamics will affect the clubhead throughout the swing. With improved shaping, particularly to the crown and sole curvature, Titleist optimized airflow and reduced turbulence and drag. According to Stephanie Luttrell, “The result is a significant gain in clubhead speed.”

Speaking of speed, Titleist takes advantage of two main face technologies to help produce intense ball speeds across the entire lineup. It starts with an upgraded titanium Speed Ring, stabilizing the clubface’s perimeter. A reinforced perimeter maximizes the COR and produces maximum ball speeds on shots that find the center of the face. For off-center contact, a Variable Face Thickness (VFT) helps maintain ball speeds while reducing the amount of distance loss.

“When we release a new product, it has to outperform the previous line,” said Josh Talge, Vice President of Titleist Golf Club Marketing. “For GT, it needed to be faster than TSR. It needed to be longer and straighter, and it had to sound better, look better, and feel better. GT delivers across the board without compromise.”
Titleist GT2
The GT2 driver maintains the same classification as previous releases. It is designed for golfers who seek a fast and forgiving driver that achieves a high launch and low spin. The GT2 features an upgraded Speed Ring and VFT, resulting in improved ball speeds across the face, and it offers maximum stability with its higher MOI design.

In developing the GT2, Titleist aimed to combine a confidence-inspiring shape with enhanced aerodynamics. The result is a 460cc clubhead with a longer front-to-back profile and a slightly shallower face height while incorporating more of the classic pear shape. This design is expected to appeal to a wide range of golfers, especially those who favor the shape of a GT3 but seek the extra forgiveness offered by the GT2. Additionally, there is a 9-gram weight positioned in the rear that can be swapped out to adjust both headweight and swingweight.
Standard Length: 45.5″
Lofts: 8°, 9°, 10°, 11° (RH/LH)
Titleist GT3
Titleist offers the GT3 for players who want maximum adjustability to fine-tune their distance and shot shape. One of the key changes is the Adjustable CG Track, which has been moved to a more forward position closer to the face. This track allows golfers and fitters to choose from five CG locations (H2, H1, N, T1, T2) to match their center of gravity position with their strike tendencies. Finding the best location on this track can help generate even more speed and ensure a more consistent ball flight. According to Titleist, the results are even more noticeable in the GT3 because of the forward location of the track.

Similar to the GT2, the GT3 features a 460cc clubhead, appearing as if it’s more compact and even more pear-shaped. Golfers should expect higher speeds than the TSR3, thanks partly to the improved aerodynamic shaping.
Standard Length: 45.5″
Lofts: 8°, 9°, 10°, 11° (RH/LH)
Titleist GT4
Titleist targets the better player with the GT4, designed for those with higher swing speeds who struggle to keep their spin rates under 3,000 RPM. The GT4 stands out with its mid-launch profile, providing a more penetrating ball flight and the ability to reduce spin. Unlike the GT2 and GT3, this driver head is 430cc, making it the most compact and classic-looking profile in the lineup.

Like the TSR4, the GT4 features two swappable weights, one located on the rear of the sole and the other closer to the face. Players looking to reduce spin the most can place the 11-gram weight forward and the 3-gram weight in the back. Meanwhile, those seeking a more stable/balanced setting can move the heavy weight to the rear.
Standard Length: 45.5″
Lofts: 8°, 9°, 10° (RH/LH)
Titleist offers a variety of shaft options, such as Project X Denali Red, Mitsubishi Tensei 1k Blue, Project X HZRDUS Black 5th Gen, and Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black. Additionally, there is a premium Graphite Design option, including the Tour AD-VF, Tour AD-DI, and Tour AD-UB, which will cost an additional $200. If your preferred shaft is not listed, don’t worry, as Titleist has a deep selection of custom shafts to choose from.
Titleist GT drivers are currently available for fitting and will be hitting store shelves on August 23, 2024, for $649. Check out the selection at www.worldwidegolf.com.

Solid driving day for me Friday with the GT3. 276 P-Avg on a kinda wet day on the fairways is pretty big for me, and I did it all hitting 5/9 fairways. >50% fairways is a huge success in my world (I’ve averaged around 35% with my last several drivers).
Now that I’ve gotten back to confident swings, this driver continues to impress with its ability to cut down the big misses. I didn’t miss the fairway by any more than about 10 yards with driver all day, and FOR SURE not every swing was that good. It’s just a good fit for me, and forgiveness across the face and up and down is very good considering the type of head. And I’ll honestly take a little speed hit when I’m way off center for improved precision.
GT3 was solid in a scramble yesterday. Didn’t have my best driver swing, but the spin characteristics again kept a couple dicey blocks and “power fades” in play, and the ones I centered were all 270+ right on the target line or just right of it (little cuts are money). I even managed to pull off a high draw over some trees, a shot that is NOT in my comfort zone.
I continue to marvel at how many times this driver returns solid, solid results on 5/10 contact. You know from the feedback in the head that you missed it, but you look up and it works out fine 9 times out of 10.
Messing with the 4 a bit, and really loving it.
Started with the TS4, then progressed through all the iterations in the 4.
I love the smaller head. Currently rocking the custom smoke yellow I have in it. I did just grab a new generation black to try as well.
I’ll dare say that I hit the GT3 better than the AI Smoke, maybe not further, maybe not straighter, but I believe I am, and am really enjoying it more than the Callaway products.
I can tell by looking at the club face that I’m certainly finding the center more than anything else I’ve tried, and same goes for fairways or near misses. A few mega slices here and there, I’ll just blame that on the grip instead of me. Next week I’ll blame it on the ferrule if I have any wild misses.
Had a big day with the 2 today, and this driver continues to impress. Was my first trial run playing the Left Dash, and the guys at the shop said I might see a big extra distance off the tee, and I was able to find some at some critical moments I needed it today, including reaching a par 5 in 2 that I haven’t seen all season. I didn’t really see the forgiveness aspect a whole lot today, as I was finding the center of the face pretty consistently, but I’m happy that we chose this model from what I’ve seen somedays this year as I don’t always swing it well. The Left Dash feels considerably firmer off the face, but it’s not unpleasant – it’ll take some time getting used to but it could be a really good swap based off what I experienced off the tee today.

This is the best 4 head that they’ve made for shape and performance. The shape reminds me so much of my 915D3 and lets me feel really confident when standing over a ball.

I think this is gonna work out really well, once I get used to the difference in feel. It hits a similar window that I saw with the V1X, which has helped a lot for me with overall distance this year. Driver is set up to go high and take the right side mostly out of play, and that box has been checked pretty well.

V1x spun too much for me off driver. I like it but it balloons. V1 has the right spin but launches a little low. Left dash was the perfect in between Goldilocks solution for me.

I agree. Every generation has seen solid improvements. I didn’t think it could beat the TSR, but it did.
Took my GT2 out for a round today and it was so solid. Hit a few complete bombs.
The feel/sound is just so good.

I’ll be curious to see if I get any of that ballooning with the Left Dash – I imagine you are pretty concerned with that with living in a bit of a windy spot as well. It was relatively calm today but we’ve had some howlers this season.
The left dash seems to do pretty well in the wind. I will play the V1 sometimes on really windy days just for the lower flight but I really don’t get much ballooning with the left dash the way I used to with the V1X.
I did my driver fitting outdoors on grass with a trackman. Once we were down to the final two shafts we switched from range balls to the various proV balls and got some good numbers. I secretly wanted to V1X to be the winner. I always liked the way it felt off of my irons. But the numbers confirmed what I suspected about it not being the best fit for me.
I’m curious to see how it does for you.
I’m hoping I get a chance to hit the GT2 and GT3 soon
Been grinding away trying to get rid of my flaws. went back to the stock shaft and am seeing very good results. Hitting over 40% of fairways in the last month and gained over 10 yards. quickly becoming the strength of my game.
Another really solid driving day with the GT2, and a couple of compliments from my playing partners about the sound. I’ve had enough time with this driver to have a pretty good idea of the result from where I’ve struck it on the face, but also from how it sounds. A miss lower on the face, and heel/toe have pretty distinctly different sounds than out of the center, but nowhere on the face sounds unpleasant to me, or them apparently. The wind was blowing pretty good today, and I like the flight I’m seeing when going into a headwind – it’s not ballooning and losing a ton of distance, it’s holding a strong trajectory. I’ve had some decent scoring rounds this season despite playing in some tough conditions, and a lot of that has to do with the top end of the bag and the confidence I have in it.
Went with my kid to Carls for a driver fitting. Came down to the Elyte and GT2. They were neck and neck when hit well. The GT2 was more consistent on mishits. He ended up in a 9? GT.2 with a Hzdrus Black 70G XStiff (6.5). Kid loved it so much he decided to hit the fairways
Same shaft, got the 4 wood and 7 wood.
We never played the same driver before.
GT2 line fits you at 25 and 66….

Nice. I have the same hzrds black 70 6.5 in the 13.5 GT2 3 wood and like the shaft a lot. I think I like it better than the tensei black in my GT2 driver. Now might try the Denali black in a gt2 5 wood.
Had a really good couple of days with the GT2 in Nebraska. For the most part, the course was very playable off the tee, despite not being able to see your landing areas all the time. If you were wayward, you could find yourself in some tough spots, and the 2 kept me in play and set me up for some pretty decent scoring opportunities. It feels good to have some confidence in the driver, and put a hurting on the golf ball every once in a while. Over the off-season I’d like to play around with some set-up stuff and see if I can start hitting up on the ball more consistently, but the peak heights and flights I saw at the experience were more than adequate, and very playable.
My fitter had me try an autoflex in my GT2…

Wow. Impressed. I couldn’t figure out how to time that shaft, I had to slow down so much that accelerating through the ball was difficult. And I play Regulars. I cant imagine how anyone with any speed could time it.

I wanted to tool around with driver shafts after my iron fitting… We confirmed my 24 BB 53S is the right shaft vs the WB 53S… Then he asked if I’d ever tried the autoflex…we threw it in and he said “just swing”…and from the first swing, it was so good. We both couldn’t really believe it but I was getting 5mph more ball speed with the AF…
This thing is so stable, and has so much speed. I took some aggressive lines today, and was rewarded for doing so. Occasionally I can stray away from center (more than occasionally ?), and I’ve gotten away with some strikes with this driver that I thought were going to turn out way worse. Embracing the cut has played really well for me, and I’m happy with the performance I saw today. On the par 4’s I hit the 2 on today, I was left with a PW/GW in, and put myself in some really good scoring opportunities on the par 5’s. This is planted in the top spot, and isn’t going anywhere.

Kind of doing the same after seeing your playing an Artera in yours ?. I need to track down a Sure-Fit adapter and try the Blue I got from @baylrballa.
I put my Blue board in after a round with the autoflex…what a difference in timing. No 300+ but consistently in the 260-280 range. I do like the Auto flex but I need more time with it to get that timing down. The GT2 has been so good…or I’m just being a homer.
Swing was well off yesterday morning. Still got some really good drives with less than good hits, speed or sweet spot. Most memorable was a ball that was so poorly mishit it looked like it was headed straight OB, gear effected right back and ended up dead center. Only 220 out, but I wasnt reteeing. Great distance for as close to the paint as it was hit.

Might have to give that thread another look. I’m all for coaxing more out of this driver.
Some circumstances came together and I’m now joining the G2 family with a Tensei Blue. This is my first Titleist driver ever. I’m gaming a Big Bertha 21. It’ll be interesting if I see any improvements / differences with 4 year newer tech.

I was pondering a GT1 to throw in to the Auto flex but went with the TSr2…that GT1 is still a hard ponder, tho.
The GT2 was good to me today, and I caught the center of the center a couple times and was able to score well on the par 5’s because of it. I really like the way this driver sounds – it seems a little sharper and crisper than the prior generation, and much better on off-center contact. We were at the mercy of the wind today, and it’s impressive how even when drives spin up in the breeze, they are still so much more playable for me. My delivery has definitely changed from last years Titleist experience, and like my fitter said, as I continue to improve, so will the results from this driver, and he’s been spot on. I haven’t necessarily been leaning into this strength in the past few weeks, but the 2 has been pretty steadily there when I needed it.
I’m going to order the GT1 driver and GT2 fairway this week. Was sitting on it holding onto hope there might be a GD invite LOL…..But now i gotta get back to making it rain, haha

Good call. ?????
I only had 3 opportunities to play my GT2 at an executive course yesterday, so this is SUPER preliminary. But I really like what I saw so far. Feel, looks, performance all were positive.
Recently put a GT3 11 degree with Diamana GT 50x. Been my favorite combo in a long time!
New driver is in the bag. I was so happy with the fit I received on my new T350 irons and how they performed I asked the fitter to look at my driver. I met with him on the same range as before about 3 weeks ago now. After I warmed up, he had me hit my current driver 4-5 times for some baseline data. My current driver was the Cobra Adapt Max k 10.5 with a Diamana Blue Board 43S in it.
I was hitting my driver good, and the shot shape height and distance was what I usually see. Ben my fitter told me he was not sure he could get any better results, so we went to work. One thing I told him was I lack carry distance and even some height. I usually would see 210-220 carry on a normal day with the Max K. I always got great roll out. I told Ben don’t tell me about any info on the distance or data I just wanted to hit drivers and see if we could improve.
First head was the GT1 with various shafts. It did not take long to realize this was not great, so we moved on to the GT2. I tried the Fujikura 2025 Air speeder 40gS and the Denali red 50S along with a GD shaft. I instantly noticed more height and being that I am very familiar with this range, and I know from my lessons where my Max K would land, I saw more carry also. He made a few adjustments and then had me stop.
He then handed me the GT3 and we tried those shafts again. The results kept getting better as we went. After a few swings with each set up he wanted to drop the Air speeder shaft back in and make a weight adjustment. I then spent the next 15 minutes crushing this set up. I was not carrying this over a hill past the farthest flag on the range which I have never reach before. I turned around and asked him if I was seeing things. The shot shape was a tight draw or straight and high! We then took a break and discussed the numbers.
Old driver data-
215 carry was the average
58 feet was the average height
Spin was in the 2300-2600 range
launch was a bit low around 10-11
club head speed was about 90-91
GT3 data-
carry went to 240-245!
83 feet high was the average now
spin about 2700
launch went up to almost 14*
club head speed went up to 95
Ball speed also improved
Here is the driver set up-
GT3 11* set to C1 so playing at 10.25
Weight set to T1
2025 Air speeder 40G stiff shaft
CP2 standard grip with 2 extra wraps-like my irons
I didn’t even hesitate to order it. That was on a Wed and Titleist had the club in my hand that next Monday! I really thought the GT2 would have been the club head and was shocked the GT3 was so better.
I went to the range the day it arrived, and this pic is from the very first swing! You can just see the ball mark in the center! I dropped out in front of the 250 sign, and the height was just like at the fitting. I hit it 5 more times the same way and put it away!

I have played 1 full round and two 9 hole rounds now. I am settling in with it nicely. This past weekend on the 9 I played I was nuking this set up. I actually got on a par 5 in two because the drive was well past where I normally end up. I have two rounds set for this weekend and I am excited to see how it goes. I will be getting my Diamana Blue Board 43G S set up for this club. The fitter told me I should absolutely try it out. I think both shafts are going to give me fantastic results. Dropping into the 40G weight is obviously working for me in the driver spot. The lighter iron shafts have been stellar also. Probably need to look at FW woods now lol!

The GT4 is stupid fast. I think this might be my fastest ball speed ever.
