Last month the Titleist TSi driver line debuted when it began hitting tour bags and appeared on the USGA conforming list. Today the lineup becomes official with the TSi 2 and TSi 3 drivers and fairway woods.
We have spent the last few weeks testing them in the THP Tech Studio and in this video have a little bit of everything. Since the release is new, we thought it best to cover the gamut in this video rather than just the testing. First up will be Josh Talge, VP of Marketing of Titleist Golf Clubs talking tech and then we move right into the data and break it down for you.
We have a lot more coming on the Titleist TSi drivers and fairway woods in the coming weeks, but after watching this video what are your thoughts?
I swear I’m done buying stuff for awhile
That worked out nicely!

and 11/12 fairways. I can live with ALL of that.
I’ll have to spend a day really going after some with the Epic Speed, but I think my instinct after playing both for a while might have been accurate. TSi3 seems a little better for my miss (high on face), but maybe not quite as long on the button. Probably for a combination of launch and spin characteristics.
I really went after some today while I was working on some mechanical things, and it was mostly really good. Dialed back a couple for videos for a forumer, but the first one of those was a perfect example of my miss still doing pretty well with this head. It’s still really good.
I brought the loft down to 9.5* but I still think it spins a tad more than my Speed 9.
345 damnnnnnnnn daniel
So I’ve tracked 4 rounds since putting the TSi3 back in play, with the same shaft I had been playing in my Speed. Right around 50 drives I think. These results are why my scoring has been bonkers during that time.
Wide variety of conditions, courses, trying to crush some, trying to place and control others, etc. Low 2 are both 281, the couple long ones were hit well but placed better to run. One was today and I actually didn’t swing very hard, just put it in the perfect spot to chase.
Long story short, it’s been very good, as it was for months, and despite about a 5 yd increase over my previous 50 with the Speed, conditions and effort were a little different. So I’m going to take a couple days off and then log 4 with the Speed with a more similar set of swings and opportunities and see where things really are between the two.
I will say that I do think TSi3 is sightly better for my miss, and my ability to shape both ways with that head is really.. like.. maybe best I’ve ever used. I pushed a couple hard left to right today, which isn’t my strength, into perfect flight and distance windows. Speed might have it’s work cut out for it there, but I’ll wait and see.
Either way, this head is everything I ever thought it was, still.
The saga continues as the revolving door at the top end of my bag has a newcomer, a TSI2 4 wood. Got rid of the G425 Max 5 wood for a couple reasons, but mostly because it sounded like a bag of ass, and turns out m not a fan of the matte crown either. Tried to make the new Callaway models work but the darn things just don’t spin at all, even the 5 wood. Really liked the Sim2 TI 5 wood but quite frankly I found the $530 CAD price tag to be completely unjustified, and borderline offensive. Found a nicely abused TSI2 4 wood on the used rack for a bargain and grabbed it without even swinging it (trying the Costanza method here).
Anyways my new TSi4 wood got thrown straight into action last weekend and I was really happy with the results. In the C-1 setting I didn’t get into any trouble on the left side of the course and I even made decent contact off the turf a couple times. Looks great and classic, sounds sweet, and offers a good launch and a flight that actually hangs up in the air a little. I’d actually say the flight is very similar to a G425 Max 5 wood, which is a good thing.
I’m not going to get too excited too soon because it could all go to crap shortly, and it usually does. But first impression is very good.
So funny, I have one of these sitting in a cart:

Got the weights and settings all dialed in, logged w/data, and no more messing with this beauty unless things get weird. One of the best golf purchases I’ve made. Nice of them to make it in all my favorite colors.

Between that and the Apex you’ve got some good stuff going on tomorrow. Have fun man!
The entire bag is new equipment… ?.
Everything will see a golf course for the first time.
TSi3 driver.
TSi2 fw
G425 hybrid or may try a 7 wood
Apex Pros
Jaws wedges
New Scotty
New TP5X and ….first time trying Arcoss
I’ve been trying to tell people that the RDX black is no crazy beast. The 6.5 plays less stout than the previous Smoke 6.5. Lots more feel. It’s great in that TSi3 head. That’s still how I have mine set up.
Soft and windy today and flight and spin control, and placement, were crucial. It never fails to do anything and everything I ask it to do. It’s just a really good club and really good fit for me.
TSi3 is a gorgeous driver, but my tendency for the toe side miss makes it hard to keep in the bag. Likely will sell it and move on. I go through patches where I can’t for the life of me find the heel side. Need to figure that out of course.
Sad, but the TSi2 is a great head too. I liked it way more than I expected, and it’s become a popular one locally with some really good players. If my miss was toe I’d definitely prefer that head, or the Speed. Hope you find a taker for that beauty.
Yeah, I’m really not centering driver enough to play the TSi3. When things are are point I’ve hit some stunners with it. ????
10*, flat, 1k… I’d hit that.
That 10* looks so good over the ball. I love the toe shaping. Makes me feel like I can haul off on it without worry.
Let’s hear the details on the slightly different one
Oh nothing too special. Just thinking about playing around with a little different shaft, loft, and weighting. Have some ideas. It’s driver #1 for me without question now, so time to try to see if I can turn it into 1+.
I ordered a ping g425 to test against mine a few weeks ago but the more I use the this club the less I even want to test the Ping. Pretty sure it will hit the market without even being taken to the course if my driving stays the way it has been lately. What shaft are you thinking? The 1k is awesome…
Through out the round I was hitting Aa very straight ball. Only one drive had a strong draw but also had a strong left to right wind. The flight was a little lower than what I have been seeing with the Epic Max LS . So I think my next setting will be C-4 and if that doesn’t get me to a preferred height. I go up to the B-4 setting but might have to adjusts the back weights then.

Best shot of the round came on a wind aided # 4. The rest of the drives were around the 235 to 245 range. I found the sound of the Driver to be somewhat muted compared to the Max LS.

I’ve tried the 1K, but the numbers just don’t add up on that yet. I’ll decide what I’m doing in a week or so. To many other thoughts right now. Lol
Yeah, I can live what all that. Cannot wait to get it out on a couple of my other regular courses and see how it continues to go. It really is a great head for me. Had one of my standard misses yesterday (high face) and it was the only reason that deviation was 11 yards instead of about 6. Just so consistently good and more than good for my miss. Just love this head.

It may not be the longest driver on the market but it is an outstanding fairway-finder. Just uncanny, really, at finding the fairway. It almost takes poor alignment or a brain-fart swing to hit it way off line. Enjoy …
