If you have followed Toulon Putters for any amount of time, you know they have made a habit of creating unique Small Batch releases that not only catch your eye, but also tell a story. Their latest installment, known as the “Charlotte” Small Batch, is definitely not shy on connecting the dots while giving us a solid serving of nostalgia along the way.

As they have done in the past, Toulon gives the nod here to Charlotte’s racing history, this time focusing more on the NASCAR side of things, and aligning the value in tight performance metrics to improvements on the track and the putting green. They also took a relatively bold approach by utilizing a rarer head shape in the B60, something we have not seen a ton of lately. Honestly? It is pretty refreshing.
Materials – Toulon Golf Small Batch
Where I would normally dive directly into the head design, I want to first focus on one of the elements that make Small Batch unique, which is the continuation of the 904L stainless steel usage. It is a material that is used by high end watch makers, and with a higher content of nickel and copper in the composition, generates an incredibly satisfying and unique feel (sound) off the face. Why do I think this matters so much? It is pretty simple, really – They are creating truly limited offerings with a material that is harder to work with, and unique to their process. We are not just talking about some fun stamping or flash, this is a real material change, which to me adds a pretty significant value.
Circling back to the application to the Charlotte, Toulon opted for another new finish to flex, this time using a platinum mist PVD that definitely presents well without glare. I really love that the crew are not afraid to mix it up with their finishes, and in this case, gave it a real classic look that does not hide any of the “B” shaping.
Design – Toulon Charlotte

As we move into the head profile, the shape, which effectively looks like a filled in letter B at address, allows for some really interesting weight placement, and free flowing lines away from the shallow flange. One of the things I noticed instantly while looking at the pictures, was their homage to the Plymouth Superbird – mostly because the tires on the car roll out along with the B shaping of the head. It just seemed to connect well to me. Around the head you will also find subtle nods to old school racing graphics, and that bleeds over to the headcover incredibly well.
One of my favorite (and usually most critical) elements of a putter release is the face milling. In a lot of ways, it can make or break the eye test, and in other cases, miss on the sound/feel test as well. For Charlotte, Toulon opted for their ultra fine double fly cut milling, which pairs beautifully with the stock-car-esque Toulon advert on the face. It is yet another way to keep things unique in Small Batch while still focusing on the entire package to make sure it looks fantastic in hand.

It seems like the B60 shape has undergone the 2025 Toulon treatment beautifully. Focusing on subtle lines that get more intricate as you get closer in your inspection, and tying in really fun connections to the wonderful racing history of Charlotte, I think this is the kind of piece that is not only going to be fun to collect, but to game as well. The balance of the shape, the softness of the lines, along with the precision and quality of 904L, definitely take some time to appreciate yet another beautifully crafted Small Batch offering.
The Details

The Toulon Golf Small Batch Charlotte putter is priced at $1,800 and will be available tomorrow May 15th in very limited quantities on the company’s website, ToulonGolf.com.
Really appreciate the in-depth explanation of what is going on here, @Canadan
I love the car on the bottom, even though I’m not a huge car guy. Very unique and I have a feeling this will really appeal to small group out there.
The badging on this putter and the cover are awesome! Race fans are going to love this one!
Stunner.
I love the finish and the little details they put into these designs. The B shape was never my favorite but certainly a classic look.
Looks great. The B-shaped putter head is my favorite.
I love this shape…it’s one I’ve been waiting for and a city I like but…man I’m just not a stock car guy

I kind of love how polarizing it is.
From the shape to the visuals.
Appreciate the deep dive on the materials being used. If you are buying a premium priced product you want the best materials and Toulon delivers like always.
The small batch Toulon putters are always so well done and look phenomenal. My only complaint, is that they are too pretty. I would almost be scared to game it for fear of marring the finish and what they charge would make it an expensive wall hanger.
They continue to make some really well designed and executed putters. Not my preferred shape, but love the look of the putter overall and screams early racing from the badging etc. Just a really well done putter and thanks to you @Canadan for the dive.
The craftsmanship can’t be ignored. But this style and shape doesn’t do anything for me.
Man Charlotte getting a lot of love in golf this year. Love to see it.
This might be my favorite so far, truly spectacular
I really wanted a double wide B-shape to be for the New Orleans putter. For the blues, Bourbon St, and Mardi Gras.
Man one of these days I will be able to just snag a piece of art like this haha what a stunner
Great write up. This putter looks so good, B60 is such a unique shaped but I am a fan.
I like the badging. Not my favourite putter shape though.

I love that it’s in the lineup though – you don’t see it a ton.
Love the cosmetics just not my favorite head shape but the nostalgia in the logos is a nice touch.

Oh I agree! More options are great!
Odyssey’s version of the B-60 was my first good (as in more costly than standard equipment) putter, man that was long ago. This one looks really nice.
GREAT piece @Canadan
Though it is my favorite name for one of these releases, its honestly not my favorite shape or aesthetic.
That said, I still respect it, and I know it would feel badass.
I think it’s very well made and looks amazing. It’s not something that does it for me, but I can see how objectively it’s a beautiful piece.
I’ve never tried this shape, but I really want to.
I don’t gravitate towards this theme, but I think the colors, badging, and logos are well done.
Toulon bringing the heat lately! I gotta try their latest milling pattern.

If this was a 650-700 putter I am getting it. It is the 1800 price tag that makes me want this to be literal perfection for me before I would purchase. Its still a beautiful piece, just no way I could justify it.
Not my style anymore but I had a Ping B60 back in the day which I think is what that shape is based off of. It is a beautiful looking putter.
