Toulon Valhalla Small Batch Putter

As we now sit firmly amidst Major Season for the Tour in 2024, Toulon Golf has long been in peak form with their reintroduction to the golf industry, subsequent Small Batch Releases, as well as the recent First Run Collection, which you can read all about here. For their next act, however, the brand is showing that they plan to keep the hits coming, as the month of May means the next Small Batch release. Say hello to Valhalla.

Toulon Valhalla

Toulon Golf “Valhalla” Small Batch Putter

By now, we all go into these Small Batch releases expecting something special and unique, this month is no different. The Valhalla, while an absolutely fantastic name, has more of a story to it than usual. This time around, this putter was done in coordination with the golf club which its name originates from. More than that though, the goal was to not only use that historic name as the course is about to host the 2024 PGA Championship, but also the spirit of Kentucky as a whole.

Toulon Valhalla face milling

Obviously when we discuss Kentucky, minds automatically go to horse racing and the Kentucky Derby, so there is a very equestrian spirit to this headshape design. The inspiration for  this one comes from the tri-sole Santa Monica as well as the winningest putter in championship history, but it is way more than a rehash. The Valhalla is a multi-material oversized width blade that uses 904L Stainless as well as 6061 Aircraft Aluminum to create what Toulon Golf is calling one of the most forgiving putters they have ever created.

Toulon Valhalla top line

The wide flange look keeps the shaping of the Santa Monica with more attention paid to the detail of every single edge and radius. Bringing it together is a L-neck (plumber’s neck/crank neck) with more length to it in order to be in better proportion with the wide body of the putter. Visually, all of this is brought together with all the equestrian nods you would expect from the diamonds on the neck, a-la racing silks, as well as a cavity font that is a direct nod to the Derby.

However, there is one more tip of the cap to Kentucky, and it might be the best of them all. On this headshape milled from top of the line 904L with the specially designed long neck as well as double fly milled face is a finish named after the lifeblood of the state, bourbon. The Kentucky Bourbon PVD finish might be Toulon Golf’s most stunning yet, and after the blues and chocolate brown we have seen in previous months, that is saying something. As always, every single detail has been given painstaking attentiveness.

The Details

The Valhalla will release today, 5/15/2024 with a very limited number making their way into the world, the putters will be available on the Toulon website, www.ToulonGolf.com. As has been the case with the other Small Batch releases, the Valhalla will also be priced at a premium $1,800 for the super limited design.
