Release season is here for Tour Edge and their Exotics lineup of clubs. While drivers are sure to bring the biggest share of interest this time around, there are those of us out there that still recognize the brands lineage and innovation when it comes to hybrids and fairways as well. With this marking twenty years of exotics, there is a lot riding on the line for the brand.
While we at THP are bringing you all the info for this release across the entire lineup, this specific piece is going to hone in the hybrids and fairways, so read on to find out all the design details.
Tour Edge Exotics E725 Hybrids and Fairways
On the E (Extreme) side of these 725 releases, it should come as no surprise that the focus here is on maximum forgiveness as well as continuing the MOI (moment of inertia) story which the E725 driver is touting.
The Exotics E725 Hybrid keeps the traditional larger footprint which Tour Edge has used here the past few releases but has implemented a 10g weight at the trailing edge of the sole in a sort of pseudo cavity. This puts the CG of the head 10% lower and naturally increases the MOI to resist twisting on misses.

In addition to the rear weight, the hybrid is also using 360 Ridgeback Technology with the titanium brace to increase rigidity around the perimeter, as well as the new 3D Diamond Face with 41 full-depth diamonds to increase speed and forgiveness across the face.
The hybrids will be offered in 19 (LH available), 22, and 25 degree options with a price point of $199.99 and being paired with the Project X Cypher 40i/50i/60i/70i (L, A, R, S).
On the other side is the Exotics E725 Fairway with its shallow face and elongated body that also uses a 10g adjustable weight in a similar pseudo-cavity at the trailing edge of the club. The fairway has the same 360 Ridgeback and 3D Diamond Face technology as the hybrids, but the more elongated shape and more shallow face here brings another level of launch from the tee and turf.

Additionally, the fairway is using Tour Edge’s RyzerSole design now functioning in combination with a new Power Channel to offer both playability off the turf as well as increasing the ability of the face to flex and create speed. All of this is blended into a $249.99 price and offered in 15 (LH available), 16.5, 18, and 21 degree lofts, paired with Project X Cypher 2.0 40/50 (L, A, R, S) or Denali Blue 60 (R, S).
Tour Edge C725 Hybrids and Fairways
Rounding out the lineup of fairways and hybrids is the C (Competition) 725 offerings, which on the 20th anniversary of Exotics, certainly look to keep the lineage of speed and power alive and well.
The Exotics C725 Hybrid continues the trend of Tour Edge keeping the ultra-compact players driven shot-shaping hybrid alive and well. With perhaps the smallest hybrid footprint on the market, the C725 comes in at only 105cc but with the deeper and square-toe face design that many better players dream of. Tour Edge calls it the most iron-like hybrid on the market, and that is hard to argue with.

Each head uses an adjustable hosel as well as a single 10g Flight Tuning System weight at the rear of the club that can move from neutral to draw or face locations making for 5-yards of movement potential. The head itself has a 10% lower CG than previous versions but still implemented 3D Diamond Face and RyzerSole to increase the playability as much as possible for such a compact clubhead.
The C725 hybrid is priced at $199.99 and offered in 17, 19, 21 degrees (RH Only) with the Project X Denali Blue 80 (R, S, X) as standard.
Finally, the Exotics C725 Fairway looks to be the cannon that everyone with fond memories of Tour Edge fairways hopes for. This is an all Titanium face and body design with a 90g RyzerSole. This is important as it pushes massive weight low and forward in the head while not sacrificing the ability to hit them off the deck.

The 90g weight is made up of 75g of permanent Tungsten combined with an adjustable 15g weight. But wait, there’s more, as a 5g weight is situated in the rear of the clubhead which can be interchanged with the 15g to offer +/- 200 RPM, not to mention the rear weight can be moved from neutral to heel or toe locations to implement up to 5 yards of flight tuning. Add in the 360 Ridgeback as well as 3D Diamond Face and playability is added to what is still a low spin monster for the stronger swingers seeking max distance from their fairways.
Price on the C725 Fariway is $299.99 given its Titanium nature. It is offered in RH only with 13, 15, and 18 degree options and paired with the Project X Denali Blue 60 (R, S) or HZRDUS Black Gen 5 70 (S, X).
The Details
Availability for orders on the entire C725 and E725 lineup begins today. As always beyond the stock shaft options Tour Edge is also offering a ton of no-upcharge possibilities for a more dialed in fit to those who need it.

It’s really gapping nicely between my Driver and 7w and completely kicked my 3w to the curb.

tonight we were on the front 9 which has four short par 4 doglegs when playing the league tees. hitting driver risks trouble on all those holes and the extra yards don’t help that much.
I hit all 4 fairways (3x Tour Edge 5w, 1x Titleist 7w) resulting in short wedges from good positions. I mishit this one with a heavy swing and it still flew straight with good carry.

Got onto the course and was excited to try the 3w off the tee. There’s a short par 4 on my home course that’s perfect for this club. I walk to the tee box and went thru my routine. This was the first crack at splitting the fairway with my new fw. I focused on my tempo and swung…..and topped the ball down the middle of the fairway. At least it went straight.
So I reset and tried again just because….and pured it down the middle with a slight cut into the wind. Landed middle of the fairway 230 yards away. The tee shot I’ve been looking for out of the 2nd spot in my bag.
I played the first ball of course, but I’m happy to know the 2nd shot is possible for me.
While my day with the C725 driver wasn’t the best, the shots I hit with the E725 were fantastic.
On the par 5 that’s bisected by water, I was 229 dead center of the fairway off the tee, then I hit it again 216 off the deck to get within wedge distance. We won’t talk about what happened from there ?
On the uphill par 5 9th hole I was in the left rough and I basically had to kick a field goal between 2 trees. The E725 was up for the challenge, putting me in the left rough with a clear shot at the elevated green (which I thankfully hit).
If I wasn’t set on hitting the C725 driver as much as possible I probably would have hit it more than I did.
I was trailing in league last night so on the last hole I took the most aggressive/dangerous line to a very small landing spot on the hardest hole on our course. Perfect line. Perfect distance. Unreal. This 5w makes me a better golfer. Period.

That is a very very accurate statement – I wish more people could give these a whirl – the more ‘conventional’ look + foregiveness + distance then look at price – it should be flying off shelves – sort of like some brands/clubs did in the past, Sonartec, Adams Tight Lies, Orlimar Tri Metal – those all seem to have had cult followings, seems these should as well – just can’t seem to get enough people talking about them.
Today, even after being beat, by the heat and a so-so round this stick just delivered – it’s so automatic, that it feels great and looks great, bonuses.

100% on the Adams golf comparison.
I wanted to come back here and note that the C725 Fairway is so strongly planted in my bag that I am very seriously looking at the matching 5 wood, time will tell there. But this club just continues to deliver and inspires confidence for me, for any shot I try it with. Yesterday, I had a ball about 18″ above my feet side hill lie (obviously), choked up about 2″ and let it fly, aimed it slightly right of my normal target anticipating a draw, NOPE dead straight where I aimed, walked away with a chip and putt par on one of the longer par 4s on my course, despite me trying to perform course management and play for bogie. The long second from a nonstandard lie, with a 3 wood proved very helpful.
This thing is money.
I’ve never gotten along well with fw’s. Hybrids have been my longest clubs and I thought the Super Hybrid would be permanently in the bag in the number 2 spot.
Hitting the C725 3w has me rethinking what the top of bag should look like. Going into this i thought it was mainly a second option off the tee. It’s still that and I’m gaining more confidence with it off the tee. But I’m not hesitating to use it from a good lie on the fairway or in the rough. It feels easy to hit powerful shots with this club.
I wonder now, given your comments, if that’s where the added 5 grams are making a difference for me. A smidge of added heft to help guide the swing. I’ve used this club from hard pan to light ish but think rough. If i had to bet, I’d assume the 5gms is helping in the less than perfect lies.
I had a great night with the E725 3w tonight, this club just continues to impress me.
After a poor tee shot on an uphill dogleg to the right, putting me in the left rough, I pulled the E725 and hit one 212 leaving me with a short 54* into the green. I hit a tee shot 238 that I think was cart path aided, but I still took it 🙂 I also pulled it on 9 after finding my only fairway of the round with my driver, however the ball was well above my feet and it was one of those “eh, eff it” situations where I chunked it pretty good, but it went dead straight and just kept rolling. So bad execution, decent results.
The C725 3w continues to be explosive in the sim. I have had swings where it is faster than my driver swing. The combo with the Denali Blue hides some launch and speed in the shaft. You can really feel it unload when you connect.
Last time on the course had me waved thru and pipe it down the middle. Can’t beat the feeling. It was 3/4 fairways with excellent distance.
My best shot of the night in the sim.

That’s further than I hit my driver on average ?
I am thinking the UO position for all the TE clubs is magical. I had to use my C725 3W yesterday several times, other than one awful top (no idea why other than trying to squeeze more distance/trying to kill it), the club delivered, if possible straighter than ever. I have said it a lot, but I cannot see this club being outperformed by other market 3Ws – it’s safely and firmly in my bag, have not had 3W love since the original Cleveland Launcher Ti 3W – I would say what 20+ years ago?

I’m in the 220-230 range off the tee, and 210-220 off the deck.
Far more importantly – it goes STRAIGHT. Like, remarkably straight. And given I’m in the E725 with no adjustments, I absolutely love that.

Spent some time on the range this morning with both clubs we’re testing from Tour Edge, and the E725 continues to just be flat out impressive. It was point and shoot for me off the deck and off the tee. If I had to pick which club I like the most so far in testing, it’s absolutely the E725 3w right now.
At the risk of repeating myself. Again…
This C725 5-wood is such a freaking weapon. The accuracy and consistency of distance is amazing.

Solid day with the E725 3w yesterday over 18 holes. I used it twice off the tee on shorter tight holes, 227 and 220 right in the fairway. I also used it off the deck 3-4 times, one was pretty badly chunked but still managed to go around 150 and stayed in the fairway on a long par 5. I don’t see myself moving on from this club for a LONG time.
Another incredibly solid time on the course with the E725 3w. I used it off the tee on the tight second hole, putting it 229 out into the dead center of the fairway.
I also used it off the deck for the second shot on both par 5s, hitting it 222 and 217 respectively. The 222 yard shot was a push draw surprisingly and the 217 was just a perfect approach that put me 60 yards out. Don’t ask what happened next. We’re just going to be happy with 2 solid shots with the E725 in a row off the deck.

I’d love to try the E725. I want to see if it’s as point-and-shoot as advertised. The C725 is the easiest fw to hit that I’ve ever owned and I want to know if the E725 is easier.
I regularly play 2 courses and each one has 2 holes where the C725 is my go to off the tee. My last time out I was playing thru a group and destroyed the 3w. Always a great feeling. Best thing about it is a heel miss runs for days and a block miss gets plenty of distance but doesn’t go too far right. I have a chance to keep it in play.

If I’m honest I probably should have gone for the E too. The C and I are still feeling each other out but I have been hitting it better after turning it up a to 15.75°.
The E725 fairway was absolute ??? tonight. I used it off the tee on the usual tight par 4 2nd hole, putting it 224 out with a perfect line to the pin. I got a bad bounce on my approach and ended up off the green to the right, but that’s a wedge issue, not a Tour Edge one ?
I also used the E725 off the deck twice – the first shot was after a decent drive on a long par 5, leaving me THIS CLOSE from being on in 2:
View attachment 9361574
That was 211 off the turf. On the other par 5, I hit it 207, leaving me with an easy 9 iron in that gave me my only birdie on the round.
I never thought I’d find another fairway wood that gave me the confidence that the Heavenwood did… until this club came along.
After my last 2 rounds, the C725 3w has locked itself in the 2nd spot in my bag. Hit two monster tee shots with it on tighter par 4s. The beauty of it Is I don’t have to swing out of my shoes. Just smooth and quick and the ball jumps off the face with a beautiful, high flight. Both tee shots ended at 240+ yards. It’s such a good weapon to have in the bag.

Being honest here, I am still seriously considering the C725 5 wood. I know that the E would be easier to hit, but I just like the adjustability and the Ti Face. Flip that and make the E available with the adjustable hosel (only) and a Ti Face, I would likely just grab one.
Paired up with the random yesterday and got complimented from on my 3w off the tee. There’s a nine hole course where I used it on 3 holes and had 3 great tee shots. It launches straight and high.
Had a chance to observe several of the C725 fairway woods in action over the weekend and was very impressed with their performance.

after a really rough time getting off the tee with driver on The Brute in the morning, switching to 5w on some of those shorter position golf holes (including the first), made the afternoon round one of my best of the whole year so far. such a great club.
during that Highlands round off the tee it I averaged 220yds with 67% FIR and only 3yds on misses.
on the season off the tee (88 shots) I am averaging 225yds with 52% FIR, and 10yds on misses.
I had a few less than stellar shots with the 3 wood the last few weeks, but today, all was again right. Anything remotely close to a good/playable swing resulted in pleasant distance and in the area where aimed. I think I need to use this club more off the tee, when the driver is not on, and accept the shorter distance (not that much) for an easier to hit, safety/fall back – rather than punish myself.
Had an absolute bomb of 245 off the tee with the E725 today… of course it needed to be more like 225 and I ended up having to chip sideways because it went too far :ROFLMAO:
I’m playing a VERY tight course tomorrow where I’ll pull driver maybe 5x at more over the course of the round, so the E725 is definitely going to get a good workout.
It went too far, don’t hear that too often – nice.

I was shocked when I made it to the ball. Dry conditions certainly helped, but every time I’ve played that hole, I’ve been 20 yards or so further back. Today’s shot put me too close to a water hazard with reeds that are known to eat up balls hit too low when trying to clear it.
This club continues to deliver, I can see it staying in the bag for a long long time. I am so eager and confident with it, now I even choke down a good 2″ and more as needed for those in between shots or to run a ball down the fairway. Love this stick and know that if the driver is not working this club can take of that duty as well when needed. Cannot say enough positive things about it.
Had my worst round in at long time yesterday. A few scattered spots of positive for most clubs. Just wasn’t hitting anything well.
Except the C725 3w. Used it off the tee and on a 2nd a few times. It performed well each time. Off the tee was vary different shot shapes as my face contact was all over the place. A low runner that was dead straight. And a high draw that carried over the dogleg. Both left me in the fairway and in prime position.
My 2nd shots with it were just as good. Mid trajectory cuts that stop right side of the fairway or just in the first cut. Both leaving great chances into the green.
I should have buried the driver and stuck with the 3w off every tee yesterday, but the driver gave me just enough to have hope.
I also got my 3W out a couple of times today during the round. I hit it really well off the tee and even off the deck, which was a nice surprise.
The tee shots were at the distance I needed and in the fairway so that’s always a win.
I need to remember that u can use the 3 of the tee is the driver isn’t performing.
Did hit a green (and held it) from 200 ish last Friday with the 3. It and the scoring irons are my favorite clubs in the bag.

I need to do it more often. A well struck 3w, which is easier to hit most of the time, goes a long way for me. It sets me up for a chance at the green even on longer par 4’s. And the C725 is easy to launch and goes a long ways for me. The Denali feels like it helps launch the ball.
The C725 has been excellent this year in the 2nd spot. Been playing some and posting in the Sim Golf Live thread and it’s no driver to keep it even for those with ceiling height issues.
So the 3w has been doing some of the heavy lifting off the tee. So easy to launch and the shaft/head combo feels like it helps me out. I can hit a low cut and also a high draw if I get ahold of it.
It really has me thinking of staying 3w in the 2nd spot.
If I wasn’t in the Grandaddy, then I would have purchased the E725 5h by now. The larger head and added forgiveness has to be great with as good as the rest of the TEE clubs have been. It’ll stay on my wishlist and hopefully I’ll pick one up at some point.
C725 fairway – this club is money. hit it 4 times today, 3 were just great, from feel to flight, one stopping about 12 feet for birdie (missed it), from the fairway about 205 out. One other pin high on the apron. One of the most confident clubs in the bag for me – I can’t see it leaving the bag any time soon.
Like the driver – it works, and its sneaky in the way, that one shot was not great – but still came up about 10 or so yards short of the green (ish). So, I could pretend like I had hit it decent.
Off the fairway the club is much easier to hit than one may expect, rough was thick and deep ish today, so no shots or attempts given that. Also no need to hit it off the tee today the C725 driver was stylin’ and profilin’

No. Just the fairway, driver and irons. But if the fw is any indication, the hybrid should be great.
And I just meant the E is larger than the C series. The C series is too small for my eye. Not the kind of hybrid I prefer.

No. Just the fairway, driver and irons. But if the fw is any indication, the hybrid should be great.

That makes more sense. And yeah, I want no part of the C series. Love that it’s an option, but not for my game. Give me all the launch.
So with Tour Edge all over the board it just happened that the local shop had a used E725 hybrid in the bin when I stopped by to get a putter grip installed.
It felt really pleasing. Soft from the carbon but strong, if that makes any sense. You could tell the fins were doing the intended work on the acoustics as it sounded much more pleasing than the Cleveland Halo XL hybrid I hit just to compare.
Only four cold swings to get the experience but a very well done club.
