When you find something that works, it makes sense to run with it. As a manufacturer, it’s safe to say that Tour Edge has found their something. The C721 lineup has been a massive success garnering accolades from just about every single outlet within the industry. Offering a visible and internal tech that is as deep and impressive as anything out there, and Tour Edge has absolutely brought it. This success is in no small part thanks to the incredibly open lines of communication that the company has with their ever growing stable of PGA Tour Champions players as well as those not on staff but putting the most Tour Edge clubs into Tour play that the company has ever seen.
Last year, this relationship led to what Tour Edge referred to as a “Straight From the Tour Van” release of a new driver, fairway, and hybrid model that were each limited to one thousand pieces. Well, the EXS Pro line was so successful in offering even more dialed in and high-performance designs for the better golfers that it makes perfect sense that it is happening again.
Say hello to the Tour Edge Pro 721 lineup.
Straight From the Tour Van
As mentioned, this is a truly limited release from Tour Edge, and they are sticking to the same one thousand pieces per design quote which applied to the EXS Pro’s. But what is in this design that makes them so special? Well, these are very targeted releases that aren’t going to be for everyone. As mentioned, the driving force behind each of these designs has been the Tour feedback that Tour Edge is getting as well as from the masterminds of David Glod and company as well.
From the broad perspective, much of what has made the C721 metalwoods and hybrids a huge success is still in effect here. From Diamond Face 2.0 which offers more mini trampoline like diamond shapes on the backside of the Beta Titanium face than in the past, to the Sound Diffusion Panels which arguably made the C721 releases some of the most pleasing sounding/feeling clubs out there.
Externally we see Extreme Heel and Toe Flight Tuning System that is allowing for two weights placed at the extremes of the club to fine tune the ball flight depending on the combination and selection between weights ranging from 3g all the way up to 15g, with a weight kit to be available.
But for those curious, yes, Ridgeback Support and Dual Carbon Wings are present and accounted for in both the driver and fairway designs. Here, the combination and size of the Titanium Ridgeback with the carbon fiber wings to the heel and toe side of the clubheads has allowed for an even more fine-tuned CG placement low and forward to create an even more low spin long ball experience.
Ah, yes, almost forgot. For the Pro 721 lineup, Tour Edge is going matte, and if early pictures stand true, they are going to make for a pretty impressive look.
Now, a closer look at each part of the Pro 721 limited release.
Tour Edge Exotics Pro 721 Driver
Besides the tech discussed above, the Exotics Pro 721 might just end up the lowest spinning driver on the market if David Glod and Tour Edge deliver on their claims. This one is specifically created for faster swingers who want a more compact profile with a deeper face (I’m sure that will perk some ears up). The head comes in at 440cc vs 460cc and its deeper face is accompanied by a more compact heel to toe and front to back shaping. With this, the CG is also lower and forward than before, taking what is already one of the lowest spin drivers that THP has tested in 2021 and decreasing that spin by 400 RPM according to Tour Edge. Workable power, that is what is at play here, and Tour Edge seems to be taking things to a whole new level of it.
The Pro 721 driver will be available in 9.5° and 10.5° base lofts with the company’s adjustable sleeve allowing for a total range from 7.5° to 12.5°. Not stopping there, Tour Edge has also gone all in offering the Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW series in Orange, White, and Blue as the shaft option.
Also of important note, this limited driver is going to be priced at $449.99 from Tour Edge.
Tour Edge Exotics Pro 721 Fairway
This one has me and many others potentially the most excited, however. When David Glod and crew start throwing phrases like bringing Tour Edge fairways back to the low spin rocket launcher like days of the CBX and CBX119, you had better pay attention.
Like the driver, the fairway is utilizing Ridgeback still but also in a more compact overall shape with a deeper face than we have seen from TE in quite a while. Coming in at 155cc, this is a player’s profile that is designed to be high speed and ultra-low spin that is being compared to a mini-driver in distance, but at a super traditional footprint.
There are three different 3-Wood lofts available with the Pro 721 fairways, 13.5°, 15.0°, and 16.5° with bonded hosels. At this time there are no plans for any other lofts in this limited release. Like the drivers, the stock shaft is an impressive Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW Orange, White, or Blue.
The Pro 721 fairway is going to be priced at $299.99 when it drops.
Tour Edge Exotics Pro 721 Hybrid
Rounding out the release is the Pro 721 hybrid which is aimed at being a long iron replacement, more specifically their Tour staff wanted a super compact player’s style hybrid from a footprint standpoint. With the extreme heel/toe adjustable weighting it can be dialed in extremely neutral to even fade-biased in combination with the naturally square face angle. The Pro 721 hybrid also has a deeper overall face compared to the past couple hybrid releases from Tour Edge.
With the focus on these being meant to be swung as a long iron replacement, there are four loft options coming in at 17°, 18°, 19°, and 20°. Additionally, these will be sporting the hybrid shaft version of the Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW in Blue or White as its standard shaft option.
This one will come in at $249.99 upon its release.
Momentum Continued
The initial feedback from Tour Edge with this Pro 721 limited release is that their Tour Staff, and a great deal of those not on their Tour Staff are ripe with anticipation for these clubs. The fact that the company has again decided to make a limited number available to us mortal gearheads as well continues to show just how in-touch they actually are with the marketplace right now. Combine this limited release with the massive buzz the standard C721’s has garnered, and it will be a fun few months to watch when it comes to Tour Edge.

15 and Tensei blue shaft.
Nice. The half degree makes a difference.
I hit both my Big Tour and the Pro at the THP Tech Studio this past weekend shafted with the same setup and playing length. Pro spins more which will make it easier to elevate.
Nice thing is both profiles are very compact looking at setup. Definitely players profiles.
From limited time with pro in sim I’m very impressed. Will get a lot of course time with it while in Gulf Shores. Maybe 7 or 8 rounds. A couple of those rounds will be played with a couple guys that will won’t to play shorter tees. I’ll play up with them and hit 3 wood of several if not all of the 4 and 5s
It’s an interesting head. Spins more than I expected, but sounds good, was fun to swing.
I noticed the spin difference. Got me this combo is really easy to turn over and take right side out of play. Which is my normal miss when I get lazy or let swaying off the ball creep into my back swing.
I’ll be curious your on course thoughts, because with all that weight forward, forgiveness will be ok but maybe not a standout.
Looking forward to this upcoming trip. Having the pro in the bag is icing on the cake. From numbers even though some are calculated by skytrak I’m either hitting it pretty much dead center or diamond face tech is really working. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to the tech in this club.
Maybe it’s both!
I went 16.5* with the Tensei Blue stiff flex. From a looks perspective, this is ???
Nice! 16.5 will be a laaaauuuuunnnnncher!
Tiny isn’t even accurate. Its sooo little.
That’s why I went 16.5. I’m usually a little flat with my 15* 3w, so I’m hoping this helps out a bit. We’ll find out by how much here in a few hours
It’s definitely old school Adams PNT small. It’s a little fella.
Its a peanut haha. Didn’t find it very easy to hit at all
I hit it hard, but when you miss even a little…yiiiikes.
Blade harshness kind of
Is this a warning on what next club might be.
Ya, it’s fun
Haha. Lets not jump ahead. TEEm Tour Edge is 3-4 deliveries and lots of work has to be done on this one because the people want to know
I’m not involved in any of that. Just commenting on one of the pro line releases.
This one (fairway) is definitely a potential huge conversation club…
1. Sound and feel are very good. Solid in both regards Not tingy like the EX10 Beta I’m coming from. I used to enjoy the bit of Titanium sound from the EX10, but I prefer the C721’s solid sound and feel.
2. Flight. I went a bit higher loft that my current 15* 3w in hopes to get more height. I was able to accomplish that. Easy to get into the air both off the deck and off the tee. Looking at the face and points of impact, I caught a couple low and they still got up
3. Distance. First one made me go . Straight boring flight that just kept going. There was a slight head wind that would also go right to left a bit, so I was pleased with the distance I was getting, as the ball cut through the wind. Had a couple roll out to the 250 yard marker.
4. Lost a few left that kept going left due to wind. But overall, I was able to keep in pretty well on the path I was aiming between 2 stakes that marked my "fairway"
5. Did have an issue with one of the weights continually coming loose and rattling around. Took it out and put it back in but kept having the issue. Finally got it to a spot where it quit rattling, but something to keep an eye on.
Any questions please let me know.
Mine will be a little easier to compare as I normally have a PXG 0341 X in the bag 15 deg turned to 16deg. Shafts are diff as the PXG has Pro X Evenflow Blue and both are 65 gm stiffView attachment 9029783
From time I’ve spent with it so far it has a lot of promise. Looking forward to more experience with it. It’s going straight in the bag to keep the C721 driver company. For those of you @JB @Jman or others that have experience with the standard 3 wood vs the pro what are your thoughts.
Pretty different to me, but James can probably expand more. Deeper and lower spin for me, but I really like it. In fact it might be the star of the Pro lineup for those looking for a secondary club off the tee.
Limited time with it so far, but I know @MWard was a fan.
Vastly different. I’ll have to circle back after practice to expand on that though!
After my first range session with this, I’m very excited about this possibility. I saw good distance and dispersion, for the most part, hitting off the tee.
Gotta say, I was consistent with it. Like… annoying so. Weights moved and all.

I actually think the non-pro is the better driver.
I may have to agree with you, but i need more data with just the two drivers outside or a SIM I trust.
I WILL say that the 721 PRO 3 WOOD is Flat out BEAST! I hit my Driver on one hole and it was the 3 wood all day. On one Par 5, I hit 3 wood 3 wood on the green
I hit this 3 wood over 250 on a few holes this morning. Beautiful little draw and a low strolling bullet. I LIKE THIS ONE and the PXG is definitely in time out in the corner of the office……I can see that one being up for sale real soon….as with @gkeller813 my heel weight had to be retightened a few times today…..rattle
Its definitely a long 3w, especially off the tee.
Was able to get out this weekend and play 2.5 rounds with it. To start out, when pulling the club out of the box I have to say that the look is very nice. The matte finish is just pretty. A nice clean smooth look that inspires confidence. The ridgeback isn’t as pronounced as it is with the original driver. Seriously a nice clean look. The Diamond Face 2.0 has a great look to it with the grooves highlighted white (at least to my eye). I’ve paired the Pro 721 15* head with Tensi White stiff shaft and it’s a good pairing.
On the course, I’ve been able to hit it off the tee and off the deck. Both times the ball really jumped off the face and it was easy to get it up in the air. Like super easy. It didn’t seem to go as far as my other fairway but that may be the fact that the Pro 721 is lofted at 15* and my Ping G410 LST is turned down to 13.5*. But it is easier to get the ball up in the air and off the ground with the Pro 721.
The sound when hitting the ball reminds me of the old composite metal bats I used growing up. It’s a muted "Thwack!". Not anything that turns me off but something that I definitely noticed – as my playing partners noticed it as well. Also – very minor detail – I’m not sure I like the painted white lines on the grooves of the face as they’re throwing me off a bit. 1st world problems I know… but I’ve noticed myself actually thinking about those lines while I’m getting ready to swing… and there’s already too much going on in my head in a round that adding something else is just going to create a bigger issue that I can’t afford to have.
Other than that – there is nothing but good things to say about this club right now. It’s a solid piece of machinery. Well done TE! Well done.
Good to hear. From time I’ve had in sim it seems to be a stud. Can’t wait till it’s official first round on course next weekend. Might squeeze in a range trip in the next day or 2.
A bit about me…I play off of a 3.6 currently and the driver is the weakest club in my bag…always. I average 6-7 up AoA and 42% fairways on the season. This driver should not fit me as i need all of the forgiveness i can get. The c721 has the stock (non) ventus red and I play it +1 upright. Both heads weighed exactly 191g. 100mph SS.
First few swings i thought i made a costly mistake as i was missing waaaay out on the toe. ball still went respectably for such terrible misses with very little curvature. then i started migrating towards the center. serious low spin beautiful bombs. i try to switch things up on the range regularly so as to not get too grooved as that doesnt give me accurate feedback. train how ya fight kinda deal. played with a couple settings and +1 in the non upright setting was the sweet spot. heavier weight in the toe. For someone like me who is a dummy with the driver, this felt relatively easy to hit high tiny draws with. Very low spin.
The drawback…it sounds pretty bad. total tin can. slightly more muted in the center, but outer limits are nasty. if you like the c721 sound, which i do, youll likely hate this sound. think g425 and its very similar.
Overall, its in the bag. I really like the looks and have a strong preference toward matte crowns. Shape is really nice. Sits very square. It came with a tensei white 65s that i will test once i change out the regular sized grip to an OS.
Maybe need to mess with the weights to see if I can help the left pulls, but I’m sure a swing fix would be better. Overall, this club feel powerful when you hit it. I enjoy the sound and feel. Can’t wait to get it on the course to see how it performs there.
Hole #1: 230 off the tee. Pulled it a bit off the tee, rolled off the left side of the fairway. Still had a great look, just missed the green on approach and made bogey.
View attachment 9031542
Hole #2: 237 off the tee. Tight hole with the creek on the left. Great flight that had a slight draw. Hit the hill on the left and kicked into the fairway.
View attachment 9031543
Hole #3: 240 off the fairway. Reachable par 5. Tried to reach it and overswung a bit. Solid strike but left. Still put me in a great spot for a GIR.
View attachment 9031544
Hole #7. Pushed my drive way right. Out of some deepish rough went 199. Low ball flight, but still good distance. Got me back on track for the par.

Hole #8: 251 off the tee. Another one launched, a bit lower than Hole 2, but still where I like to see it. Got a good roll in the fairway and stayed on the left side. Felt really good.
