While cigars are not for everyone, those who enjoy them can often be found lighting one up on the course. When it comes to accessories for the cigar-loving golfer, there is no shortage of options, but one of the most essential tools any smoker can own is a quality cigar case.
What began as a cold call between two strangers quickly evolved into a partnership that became Tübr Storage. It is a fascinating origin story, and if you want to read about it you can visit their website. Today our focus is on the product that made waves at the PGA Merchandise Show, The Tübr Gordo.
Has Tübr Storage created the perfect cigar case? Let’s find out.
The Tübr Gordo Alümen Cigar Case
If you are a golfer, putting a cigar into a golf bag without proper protection is just asking for trouble. Without a quality case, cigars can dry out, or worse, be crushed or broken inside your bag.
Tübr believes they have designed the perfect cigar case and a golf bag is one of the many uses for it.

The Gordo Alümen is made from aircraft grade anodized aluminum, which is not only rust resistant and ultra lightweight, its also incredibly strong. When you pick it up you immediately feel the the quality, giving you the confidence that your cigars will be well protected.

The Gordo Alümen is IP65 water-resistant, airtight, odor-proof, and crush-resistant, yet, somehow compact enough to hold two cigars up to a 65-ring gauge. Measuring just over 7 inches in length, the Tübr Gordo accommodates most cigars, with only a few exceptions.
The true differentiator here is the patent-pending design featuring a double O-ring system. This design seals the contents securely while pushing excess air out, creating a tight seal that you can both hear and feel.

The Tübr Gordo Alümen is available in three colors: Raven (black), Silver, and Gunmetal. Of note, the selected color applies to the top portion of the case; the bottom remains black across all versions.

- External Dimensions: 7.25″ x 2.5″ x 1.5″
- Internal Dimensions: 7″ × 1″ per chamber (176 mm × 25.5 mm per chamber)
- Weight: 10.4 oz (292 g)
The Gordo Alümen is priced at $99.99 and includes a velvet carrying bag.
Tübr Storage Plastic Options
“Gordo”
If the Alümen’s price point is a little high for your taste, Tübr offers a more budget-friendly alternative. The Gordo is also available in a lightweight, all-plastic version.

This version maintains the same airtight, water-resistant, crush-resistant, and odor-proof benefits as the Alümen. However, it weighs approximately 100 grams less and does not include the velvet carrying bag.
The plastic Gordo is priced at $39.99 and is available in black or white.
Other Available Products
Tübr also offers additional containers in a couple sizes. Given their odor-proof and freshness-preserving benefits, it is no surprise the company has expanded beyond traditional cigar storage.
“The Stash”

“The Stash” is a compact storage unit designed to keep smaller items fresh or protected. The company highlights uses such as medication and valuables, though there are clearly other applications depending on your needs.
Available in Wasabi, Ember, Raven, and Frost, “The Stash” is priced at $19.99.
“Kingz”

“Kingz” is an even smaller unit designed for pocket carry while maintaining the same level of protection as the larger models.
Available in Sky, Wasabi, Honey, Raven, and Frost, “Kingz” is priced at $19.99.
Final Thoughts – Tübr Storage

Tübr products are thoughtfully designed and perform as advertised. While they are not intended to replace larger storage solutions such as a humidor, they excel at portability, keeping contents fresh, dry, and protected while on the move.
I feel confident that either of the Gordo options would protect my cigars from damage in my golf bag or during a short trip.
Although the focus today was on golf, these Tübr products can be used for a variety of things. Use your imagination, whatever fits inside will be protected and dry.

I have had my eye on one of these for a while. I love the look and perceived quality of the aluminum version, but that price point is a bit aggressive for me. The plastic one seems like it would do a great job, but then I am wondering if it’s really any more convenient than the typical “pelican style” plastic box.
I may have to get one just to join the reviews. But at $40, I want some sort of special justification for using it. I would be curious about the in-hand feel and use of the plastic version.
This was in the mystery box right? Really sneaky added value and a real cool product
Very cool product for the cigar smokers out there.
The ability to throw in the bag and not worry about things getting dirty or heat/embers sneaking out is pretty awesome.
High quality looking product here. It’s a bit pricier, but I think I’d lean towards aluminum just because it looks so cool.

The quality of both is quite good. Obviously the aluminum one has a more premium look and feel to it but. The upside of these is that its smaller than your typical box and fits in the bag nicely. For a golf bag its convenient unless you need more than 2 cigars.
Cool product! I have a cigar case that I use, but it doesn’t offer the same protection. These are on the wishlist.
I got the “Gordo” in my mystery box last week and it seems really well put together. I am not much of a cigar smoker, but with a buddies trip lined up later this year as well as a golf-centric bachelor party, I have a feeling I will be able to put it to use.

You can fill it with whatever though that one is more of a cigar case. The stash you can put other things in.
They have a solid build quality. You can hear the air come out and an audible click when its closed/sealed
I think I’m going to need to order the Gordo. I don’t smoke cigars too often but I like to keep one in the golf cart and unfortunately I waste cigars often leaving them in there. This would be a good investment!
this would make a really good thank-you gift when you’re invited to a private club or member-guest, etc.

The seal is what most impressed me about it. It is 100% tight. Definitely will find uses for it outside of cigars, if nothing else to just help keep the “random” stuff pocket in my bag more organized. On hot days I’ll bring electrolyte rip sticks to add to water at the turn and those seem to float/get lost in the corners of pockets. This would definitely make finding those quicker.
darn, I actually bought a 3 count case yesterday…

Unique is the ability to put a still burning cigar in there and not worry.

Great idea here.
@jdtox how hefty does the Gordo aluminum feel in hand, empty? I am thinking this may be a good option for travel and when I am out and about at a car show or something similar and want to bring a couple cigars with me.

I don’t get those tags sir haha
Its got some heft to it compared to the plastic version but its not heavy. That is what its perfect for. I would say much like the neat traveler is the perfect travel companion for a short trip and want to have a cigar

Old habits die hard 😂
Maybe the plastic one is a better option for what I am looking for.

The Aluminum one is a bit nicer but I don’t think you can go wrong with either. If you go plastic I’d probably lean black?

I was thinking white only because I think I will be buying the new Caddy Daddy bag in white. But I think black would be the smarter play.

I am cuban, but its really great.
I don’t do cigars, but reading your article I could almost smell them.
I am going to Calle Ocho today (Miami’s largest street festival) and want to take two Cuban cigars. This is exactly why I need a Tubr as the normal box I use is too large and inconvenient to carry while walking.
I started off as skeptical, mostly because I just assumed I would use this for golf. But now I’m starting to realize I could use something like this way more often. Going to order now.
I got the yellow Kingz in my mystery box and found some cigarillos that fit in it really well. And I’m starting to like those on the course too.
How did I miss this??? These are awesome!!! I need to pick up one if these as I do enjoy a cigar on the course from time to time.
