There’s a difference between clothes you wear and clothes you reach for. The pieces you reach for don’t just look good, they feel right the moment you pull them on. That’s where Turtleson continues to separate itself. Their apparel has always walked the line between refinement and comfort, offering luxury that fits naturally into everyday life.
It’s been a while since we last explored the Turtleson lineup, but this latest collection feels like a confident evolution of what they do best. The Tennessee-based brand, founded by golf apparel legends, once again delivers pieces that blend golf performance with relaxed, off-course style. We spent time with five of their current offerings, and found a wardrobe built on versatility, craftsmanship, and signature Turtleson feel.
Before we dive into the pieces themselves, it’s worth discussing how Turtleson presents their products. While the company has their deepest roots in green-grass retailers, they are now selling direct to their customers on their website. The delivery and unboxing experience they offer is high-end from the start. A great looking box opens to reveal your apparel, wrapped and sealed in branded tissue paper.

Stirling Quarter-Zip
The Stirling Quarter-Zip in Syrah Heather is the kind of layer that earns its way into your weekly rotation. The fabric is smooth and brushed just enough to provide warmth without bulk, and the stretch offers complete freedom of movement whether you’re swinging a club or layering up for travel. The collar and color-coordinated zipper pull are clean and understated, and the fit strikes a great balance between structure and comfort. As a layering piece, we recommend ordering your normal size with the Stirling.

The Stirling feels elevated in every way, from the stitching to the subtle trim details inside the collar. In fact, the liner is unlike anything we’ve encountered in a quarter-zip. The contrasting, darker material is incredibly smooth against the skin and immediately brings luxury to mind. Over a polo or beneath a vest, it gives a pulled-together look without trying too hard. The Stirling Quarter-Zip retails for $150, and it’s the kind of piece that transitions from course to casual dinner with ease.
Bellfield Hoodie
The Bellfield Hoodie in Admiral Heather redefines what a hoodie can be. It’s soft, refined, and versatile, almost like a sweater that just happens to have a hood. The fabric has a fine texture that gives it structure and a unique look while keeping it light and easy to wear. It drapes naturally without the bulk or casual slouch you find in typical sweatshirts. Like the Stirling, we recommend picking your normal size here.

We wore the Bellfield on crisp fall mornings and cool evenings down into the 50’s and found it to be the perfect middle ground between performance and comfort. It’s light weight also made it a good choice to wear under a vest on windy days. It’s comfortable enough for lounging, yet polished enough to wear out. The tonal logo and thoughtful stitching make it quietly stylish. The Bellfield Hoodie is priced at $150, and it’s the kind of piece that feels right for nearly any setting, even paired with something like a pair of nice sweats or joggers.
Marshall Crewneck Sweater

Few items capture Turtleson’s approach to “quiet luxury” better than the Marshall Crewneck Sweater in Shadow Heather. Crafted of premium Merino Wool, it’s a fine-gauge knit that feels both soft and substantial, offering warmth without heaviness. The ribbed cuffs and collar hold their shape beautifully, and the subtle V-stitch at the neckline adds a classic touch that speaks to timeless craftsmanship.

The fit is excellent. It’s not too slim, nor too loose, and the fabric breathes well enough to wear comfortably indoors or layered over a polo outside.
While we love crewneck sweaters, it seems that many brands can’t get the elastic around the waist quite right, but Turtleson delivered with the Marshall. It’s the kind of sweater you can pair with jeans, trousers, or golf pants without a second thought. The Marshall Crewneck retails for $175, and it feels worth every penny once you’ve worn it for a day.
Baird Performance Polo

The Baird Performance Polo in Admiral Syrah brings a touch of personality to Turtleson’s understated lineup. The high-contrast geo-dotted pattern gives it visual texture without being distracting, and the color contrast makes it easy to layer under a sweater or quarter-zip.
The material matches the Tiernan’s blend of softness and structure, with excellent moisture control and lasting comfort. You know that feeling when you spot your “ideal” shirt on the rack? The Baird gave us this feeling. The color choices and pattern are just about ideal and the fabric feels amazing in hand.

In terms of fit, Turtleson polos generally run a shade larger. We’d call them a generous “American” cut. If you hover between sizes, we recommending going with the smaller option. Otherwise, you should be fine ordering your normal size. The cut accentuates the chest and shoulders nicely while masking the mid-torso. The moisture wicking properties are perfect for warmer days, but the material is still premium enough for layering when temperatures drop. The contrasting embroidered logo and clean stitching complete the look. The Baird Performance Polo sells for $115, and it’s the kind of shirt you can wear from morning rounds to evening plans without changing a thing.
Tiernan Performance Polo
The Tiernan Performance Polo in Luxe Blue/Loche shows how far a great fabric can take a familiar silhouette. The material is soft, smooth, and cool to the touch, with just enough stretch to move naturally. It has a luxurious feel that doesn’t rely on sheen or gimmicks, and it holds its shape impressively well through multiple washes.

This pattern is bold for Turtleson, but it’s not really evident until you look at it closer. From a distance it’s visually interesting but up close you see that the pattern is actually built of what appear to be golf tees. It’s a very neat look that we appreciated quite a bit. The fit is athletic through the chest and shoulders, with comfortable room through the midsection. Whether you’re at the course or heading to dinner, it projects polish without stiffness. The Tiernan Performance Polo is priced at $115, and it’s an easy favorite for year-round wear.

The Details That Matter
Every piece in this collection reinforces what we’ve already learned about Turtleson: the craftsmanship is deliberate, the materials feel exceptional, and the fit is designed for real life. These aren’t garments made to follow trends. Instead, they’re built to feel relevant and reliable for years. From the zip pulls to the collar construction, everything feels intentional.
The pricing places Turtleson firmly among premium golf apparel, but the quality makes a strong case for lasting value. When you feel these fabrics and live in them a few days, the difference becomes clear. The full collection is available now at turtleson.com and through select retail partners.

I really like the Marshall crew neck sweater. Clean classic look.
That crewneck sweater I will own.
The stache guy in the polo is creeping me out though haha

Can’t unsee now ?
Crewnecks are great for a variety of things – digging this fall line. Great write up @Hawk!
Love Turtleson. I want that red heather 1/4 zip and the crew neck sweater.
That Belleview hoodie is nice!
Thanks for reading. This brand is right at the top for me, and this line didn’t disappoint. Pretty common to get a box of apparel and not love every piece, but Turtleson hit five home runs here for me.
It was impossible to adequately describe the inner lining of the Stirling Q-Zip. You just have to experience it to understand. It’s the softest most luxurious thing ever. I’ve never had a Q-Zip like it.
Crew neck is a big winner too.
I took some pics as I wore the various items so people could see the fit. For reference, I’m a bit over 6′ tall and around 185lbs. These were size large.

I like the crew neck could layer nicely.
Great review!!!

The hoodie looks NICE! Big fan of the polo patterns too
The hoodie looks really nice but that crewneck looks like a must own.
That texture on the hoodie would immediately have me seeing how it feels, and I bet it feels darned good.
I am SO in on the Bellfield. I love a bit of a softer textured look.
How’s the neck crossover on the Bellfield @Hawk ? Seems like it’s a secretly useful way to keep material in the neck area.
I think I’d go Baird between the two polos. I like that the color bounce between the dark blue and the red is just enough to make things interesting.

Is it better than the bird dogs liner?
To help others, I also wear large in the several Turtleson pieces I have, I’m about 6’2” and 205. My body shape is 65 year old guy. So, L is versatile.
Great little company in East TN that actually is carried in my club here too. I can definitely endorse this company. Solid offerings and they made our polos for us for our McConnell Golf Ryder Cup next week as well!

Sits above the collarbone and is soft. Not constricting in any way, but definitely does a good job at keeping wind out. It’s a nice design.

Baird is my favorite too. In fact, when right to a top three pick in my closet.
BTW @Hawk you’re quite the selfie taker :ROFLMAO:

Was hoping to stave off some of the fit questions lol
Another brand to check out! Qzips look great but the crew neck is sharp! Love a clothing line that easily lends itself to office attire and classier occasions.
They recently had a sale on 4 polos for $150 in a mystery box. I bought a box and have been really liking the 4 polos that I got. Very comfortable a great fit. I will definitely be looking for their clothes at any courses I go to in the future.

Their stuff looks absolute class and I adore these patterns:

I think it’s time to take the plunge…
I clicked through to the website to check out the hoodie but this among the new arrivals quickly caught my eye:

The polo collar on a Q-zip jumped out to me. Heavy ponder.
And, I would love this in a hoodie style.
