I feel like he’s really not asking you to swing out of your shoes, but to commit to your swing and not be timid about it.
He always wanted me to get through the ball and honestly when I just commit and take a nice healthy rip at it, good things happen.
Good things have definitely happened when I take a solid rip at it with the powercore. I don't want to jinx myself, but I still haven't seen a big left and that's usually what happens when I really take a healthy rip.
I think it's the stability of the shaft keeping the clubhead square instead of turning over. Maybe? I don't know. Not really trying to question it. I'm just trying to swing it, hard.

I agree with you. If I trust my swing and really get after it – 9 times out of 10 it works out pretty well for me. I can still get my right-side miss, but it’s never as bad as it used to be.

PowerCore White 5 continues to be a very fun match for my needs with the GTS2. It’s easy to swing and seems to help keep me close to the middle of the face if I swing halfway decent. Here is what I’ve realized since Shaft Up #1: I had been scared to death to just swing and release the driver. I held on to every single swing, hoping to guide the golf ball and avoid trouble. I had zero (or close to) idea I was doing this, but it was ensuring my dispersion remained awful, distances stayed down and my spin stayed high. The trust that I have found with PowerCore allows me to commit to my swing (not swing out of my shoes), release the club head, and know I’m likely to be in a great spot.
I had been told several times over the years to “just commit to your swing and let ‘er rip”, but I didn’t really understand what it meant. I just responded by trying to muscle the swing even more, unknowingly hold on for dear life that much more, and see my problems off the tee become more pronounced. I still like to fall back into this on the occasional swing, but I’m much more likely to commit and let the club & shaft do the heavy lifting. I don’t believe “liberating” is too strong a word for describing what this whole thing has been for my tee game.
strange question and maybe better for the driver thread, if so let me know but…last night went out for first time in about a week. Hit the range beforehand and second or third swing, the clubhead was coming loose again.
I don’t have a tightening wrench, the first time it happened a few weeks ago a guy had one and tightened it for me. I don’t have one, where do I find a wrench that fits in the bag to tighten the screw holding shaft to clubhead?
First driver I have ever had this issue with and now it has happened twice. Ended up playing the round teeing off almost entirely 3h, the driver was too loose to use.

My GolfTEC has a bin of them. Literally a “leave a penny take a penny” kind of situation. I think you didn’t renew a new pack of lessons but if you have one or two left ask them. I can almost guarantee you they’ll give you one for free.

The only one I’ve ever ran into that’s different is an Edel tool that went with a wedge.
Driver swing is coming around again little by little. I’ve kept the blue 6X in more consistently recently.
the hybrid in the driving iron is an odd duck. it’s 105g, but feels so light. I need to double check the swing weight. I can’t really go after it but at the same time it’s been nice to shorten things up a bit too.
I love the red in my Q4, it’s time to put a blue in my elyte mini. Where’s a good place to look for the shaft? I need a Blue 6S and 42.5”. The Elyte still has the old Callaway tip.
Got the 6S white adaptored up and got some time with it vs vblue+ 6x in my launch monitor yesterday. I may be formally moving on from the pc shafts. I need to do an on-course test to see if gcquad data from 2 weeks ago is what shows up on course.
But, I swung vblue+ faster by 1 mph. Ballspeed was faster with vblue+. Dispersion was better with vblue+.
Gcquad showed lower spin with pc white 6s and mevo+ doesn’t capture spin on limited flight drivers that great. So, on-course test coming Saturday. I’ll play in the afternoon and will hopefully be able to hit both shafts off each tee.
But it looks like vblue+ 6x will be my new gamer.

I feel like I’ve unlocked something with the PowerCore. I focused today on tempo and really trying to swing fast but not over swing. It worked bc I hit driver after driver fairly straight and when I wasn’t in the fairway it was the first cut and the PowerCore is a big reason why
I'll say I've tried a bunch of shafts over the past few years and Powercore has unlocked something with my tempo as well. I'm smoother thru the ball but still carrying my yardage and my dispersion has shrunk, because I'm finding the center of the face. Even today when I put bad swings on it I wasn't OB I was just a handful of yards off the fairway. Usually in bad spots where I'd have to chip out so not ideal.
Not a lot the shaft can do about trying to swing too hard and yanking it left though. But if I focus on the smooth tempo and big finish thru it the ball explodes off the face. No roll today but I was plugging good balls 250 on a fairway that wasn't soup I'd be at the top end of my range.
I'm having a good time with this shaft. Hope it continues.

Well, might have to retract that last sentence. Open range session just now and pc white 6s has a CLEAR dispersion advantage over vblue + 6X. Same dispersion difference I saw on gcquad.
