Recently, THP reviewed Voice Caddie’s new Laser Fit rangefinder, and it seems like there’s a lot to like about it. Along with the Laser Fit, Voice Caddie also introduced the new T11 Pro, designed for golfers who prefer wearing a GPS watch. According to Voice Caddie, this is the most complete golf watch. With such high praise, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding this new GPS watch. Let’s take a closer look.

The T11 Pro has numerous software features, but let’s start by looking at a crucial piece of hardware: the screen. It has been upgraded from the Reflective LCD model used on the T9 to a new Super OLED touch screen. According to Voice Caddie, this screen is rated at 1,100 nits, making it very easy to see even on a sunny and cloudless afternoon. The screen is not only bright but also very responsive as a touch screen, which is essential because the watch has only one physical button. Having used two previous GPS watch models from Voice Caddie, the G1 and T9, it’s very impressive to see the advances made in these areas.
When switching the T11 Pro to golf mode, the watch instantly begins acquiring the desired course location. While there have been instances of delayed signal acquisition, for my typical use, I would turn it on, go to the pro shop, speak with the starter, and then head to the tee. At that point, I was ready to start. These days, I mostly play golf at a course with four distinct nine-hole routes. With my regular GPS watch, I had to scroll and select which nine I was playing on the first and tenth tee boxes. It’s not a significant issue, but a wrong tap could disrupt the process.

The T11 Pro simplified this by recognizing the tee box. As soon as I stepped on the tee box, the course was recognized, and I was shown a flyover of the hole I was about to play. This hole recognition process may seem like a minor detail, and in the broader context, it is, but for me, it certainly felt like a luxury.
After the flyover of the hole is complete, the screen displays a course preview, showing an aerial view of the hole being played. If you’re looking for the distance to the dogleg or a specific hazard, tap on the screen at that location to get an accurate yardage. It’s worth noting that having a responsive screen is crucial for this, and the T11 Pro excels in this area. Once you reach your tee shot location, the screen automatically zooms in to provide a close-up view of your approach shot. Golfers will also see the distance of their previous shot on the lower left side of the screen. Swipe the screen to the right to view the green, which displays yardages to the front, back, and movable pin locations, along with the green’s width and depth. For precise distances, Voice Caddie relies on its V-Algorithm, which calculates the most accurate adjusted yardages by using average distances and trajectories collected from PGA and LPGA players over a decade.

As part of their V.AI 3.5, Voice Caddie is introducing a new Smart Putt View, which enhances the heat maps found on other models by providing golfers with more detailed putting information. An example includes indicating whether the putt is uphill or downhill before the pin and what happens after the ball reaches the target. Additionally, it provides the distance in feet from the hole and, on long putts, offers a long putt guide to assist in achieving a two-putt. It’s important to note that users can manually adjust the pin location on the green using the watch, which will be necessary to take full advantage of these options.
Voice Caddie also offers an app that can be used with the watch to enhance performance. For instance, golfers can enter their typical driver distance and choose to display a driver arc across the hole at that desired yardage. This feature provides a visual representation on the tee box of where the average drive will land in relation to the hole layout. If this feature doesn’t interest you, it’s easy to disable within the app. Additionally, the app maps each shot taken throughout the round. While it’s less comprehensive than other shot-tracking software, it does the job for anyone who wants an overview of a previous round. By linking to the app, golfers can access features such as wind speed and direction, club recommendations, a scorecard, and setting up notifications, like phone calls and text messages. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the wind information to work during my testing. Still, I will keep an eye out for it because it’s another example of Voice Caddie providing as much information as they can to the golfer.
The Voice Caddie T11 Pro also offers a tempo practice feature to help golfers achieve a more consistent swing rhythm. During rounds, the watch provides tempo readings after each swing, which can help golfers identify when their tempo is too quick, which is undoubtedly a common swing fault. Perhaps the best part about this mode is that it can be used outside the course in every practice session. Users can choose their target tempo ratio and practice their full swing, approach swing, or putting stroke to work toward their goals. While using the feature, the watch screen displays backswing and tempo readings and shows a colored ring around the screen to indicate performance: yellow indicates a slower tempo than the target, red indicates a faster tempo, and blue means the target tempo has been achieved.

Lastly, the T11 Pro is equipped with a rechargeable Li-Polymer 405mAh battery. Upon unboxing, users will find a charging cradle that works with a USB C cable. It is important to note that neither a cable nor a charging brick is provided. According to specifications, the Voice Caddie T11 Pro is anticipated to deliver a complete 36-hole performance before requiring recharging. During my testing, the battery’s performance surpassed expectations, consuming only 15% to 20% during 18-hole rounds that extended beyond 4 hours.

T11 Pro represents Voice Caddie’s commitment to integrating as much helpful technology as possible into a wearable product, and the result is truly impressive. It falls into the premium category with an MSRP of $349.99. It comes with support for over 40,000 courses and features no additional subscription costs.
More information on the T11 Pro GPS Watch is available at www.voicecaddie.com.
Really interesting product with what seems like a really good interface.
Comparing it to a Garmin, the price is dramatically lower and offers a lot of bang for the buck.
Great review @ddec – The OLED Screen looks fantastic, and with 1,100 nits brightness you will be able to see this thing in the sunniest of conditions.
I also like the idea of the flyover.
With Shot Scope I don’t see myself in the market for this, but seems like it ticks all the boxes for someone looking for a dedicated GPS Golf Watch
@ddec great review. Did you ever figure out a good way to set the pin while on the green?
Did you find a way to have it play only 9?
I think this thing looks killer. Seems a bit large in some of those photos, but the screen is great. Really nice.
I like the screen options including the flyover. Easy to use screen, but it looks huge! I assume no issue with a larger watch while swinging, but it looks like it dwarfs other watch screens in the market.
The teebox recognition, flyovers and automatic transition to approach shots looks really interesting and something I’d like to have on my Garmin.
Well written article of an interesting product @ddec !

It does have a glitch where if you don’t start the watch before the round and instead start it on fairway 1 you will not record shots nor get GPS on the hole until you reach tee box 2.
Looks like it an upgrade over the current T9, but it does look really big. I wonder if the T9 will have software update.

It’s so light though that you really don’t notice it. Larger footprint than my garmin but maybe half the weight due to lack of bio sensors
Great review. I love the functionality but to be honest, I was taken aback by the size. (TWSS)
The site doesn’t have the standard mm case width you see for most watches. But based on imperial measurements, it would to a 50mm case? That’s quite a bit bigger than the G70’s 47mm.

Which Garmin do you have as comparison?
Vivoactive 4 which is smaller than the s62 and s70

That’s what I’m leaning towards over the s70.
The t11 has huge potential but it misses the mark on user interface, customer service, and delivering on promised features (as of 7/16/24 I’ll edit if this changes).

Because the software and support issues have been so bad, as I’ve noted in another Voice Caddie thread, I’d be very hesitant to purchase one. How well can you translate Korean?

The T9 is so light that you don’t even realize you’re wearing it. I see some advantage to having a large screen for all of the touch operations, but I guess I would have to see it on my wrist to know the size would be good for me

good article, very useful and very helpful, thank you for sharing, waiting for the next article. Also read the article by cetak kalender jakarta timur/a>
I played two rounds with the T11 PRO and have really enjoyed it so far. The only issue I am having so far is when a green is very close to the next tee box it does not give me the chance to enter the score. It just goes to the next hole flyover. Does anyone know how I go back to enter the score quickly?
I’ve gotten four rounds under my belt with the watch and noticed this issue as well. Getting comfortable with the mannerisms is just gonna take some time. After my second round and a couple of review videos, I think I have it. When this situation occurs, simply swipe up, change holes to the previous hole played. Because you are on the next hole, the interface immediately goes where you enter the score. This worked for me. I’m being told that swiping down is supposed to go straight to the score entry interface. Remember too, (which kind of tripped me up a bit…"shots" = strokes attempted; putts = putts attempted.)! I was impressed on the manner it detected my shots and putts. On some occasions, I had to manually override what the watch thought compared to what actually happened. I was pleasantly surprised to actually talk to a rep today who answered a couple of my questions. VC rep indicated that they are in the process of creating a more detailed instructional video/manual. I think this will help a bunch. Hands down (at this point, I think it’s a super product…I definitely would recommend to anyone that this is a good choice.
so far pretty good and still learning some of the mannerisms. I like the design and the look. Very light. Interested to know from THP’ers who purchased the watch, I’m not able to acquire the putt view…no problem with the hole and approach view. I didn’t know if that is only on certain downloadable courses. I used to have SkyCaddie back in the day and I’m thinking that it might be the same issue where you (a user…) was/were able to manually upload or create a course. If you were able to do this, many feature wee absent from the interface, Great product…instruction manual could provide more detail. A lot of questions were answered by looking at some reviews online.

If you don’t see the green undulation tag then you won’t get putting features.
I suggest you put in a request now as it takes 60 days to update
I had someone ask me about the size. Here’s a good progression of VC watches over the years
Left to right. T11 Pro – T9 – G1

And here it is next to the ShotScope X5

Holy smokes. That thing is HUGE.
When I look at the T9 the T11 seems like a bit of a downgrade in appearance, especially the strap and transition to the strap. The features are very attractive though.

it’s large, but light. I actually found the X5 to interfere a bit more, but that could be because the power button on that is so damn sensitive when it hits the glove. It might be a downgrade in appearance, until the screen is on…then it’s game over.

drives me crazy. Esp when I wear a glove like the Claw that rides up the wrist a little bit. Have to fold the velcro area over so it doesn’t interfere. Or ride the watch a little higher on the wrist, but then it seems to miss more shots.
Won’t lie. I am a little disappointed in myself for not trying to claim this review lol.

Any more updates on how this is working on the course? @ddec
I have been exchanging emails with VC and check it out. We have wind information.
Get the direction and number on the upper left side. Tap on it and it shows the wind direction overlayed over the hole view.

kmet…don’t know how your watch is working, but I’m loving it while at the same time worrrying the dog-mess out of the Voice Caddie technicians. To no end, they recently dropped a really nice tutorial out there on youtube…check it out. It’s very helpful and much more robust than the vanilla instruction manual.

Scott F…definitely hit or miss…(more miss, I’d say!)…although the download is available, the interface with Mac OS’s is not there according to the tech I spoke with (apparently a couple of bugs). If you can get to any windows system simply for updating the software on the watch, that’s all you need. The update took about 15-20 minutes which I took as pretty robust. Once the watch is updated, you will note that the app on your phone will be good to go as well. Good news tho…I was certain (for whatever reason) all the courses I wanted to play that I would need to download them in advance similar to the SkyCaddie many years ago but not the case. You do need your Phone (the app …) for synchronization purposes. The watch will work standalone with no problem with exception to utilizing the wind feature. For that function, you will need your phone for syncing. The idea is to have it in search mode when you heading to the course and it should pick up where you intend to play.
I have just got the T11 and size wise, much similar to the Apple Ultra, so wasn’t an issue.
love the features but it always wants 18holes for scoring, anything less it par’s out unplayed holes. That is annoying that even after cannot adjust to zero, so stats are skewed.
VC manager on lastest MacOs works fine undated my watch to firmware 1.3, so all good
Want to circle back to this one after having it in play for a good amount of time. Some has been said before, but throwing it out there as the holiday season is very near and this could be a good option as a gift.
I’m going to tell you that the screen is fantastic. It’s so bright and vibrant, which makes it easy to see/read regardless of the playing conditions. I’ve had this on for cloudless sunny days and stormy days alike, and the visual experience has gone unchanged. It’s a pretty big face, but as a whole, it’s not cumbersome to play with it on the wrist at all. It doesn’t feel clumsy at all and I never-rarely have any issues with accidentally hitting the one physical button. Touchscreen responsiveness has remain impressive as well.
Minus the issue I’ll leave for last, I have no real complaints on the software side. I like the views I am getting, swiping between screens is smooth, and dropping the pin location when on the green is simple. During the initial review period I had issues with the wind speed and direction. Worked with VC software engineers, and did a few things, voila it works, and works well. Make sure the watch is connected to your phone with the app open.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but playing/recording just a 9-hole score seems to be something that still can’t be done. That is a very very minor thing for me. I don’t use the app to necessarily track my scores but I know people who like that kind of stuff.
The other watch I use frequently is the ShotScope X5. The screen, button layout, and comfort is better on this one. The shot tracking and stats you can get from that one are superior. Two really good options for users depending on what you are looking for.
@ddec I have the T9 and was wondering if this would be a good upgrade. I appreciate the initial review and then update.
The T9 has worked well for the most part, but the screen isn’t as responsive as I would like.
