While the PGA Merchandise show doesn’t provide the same breaking equipment news it may have a decade ago, there are still occasional pleasant surprises. While covering the convention floor in January, THP couldn’t help but notice a booth, belonging to a company called WAAC, that stood out. Whether it was the incredibly distinctive apparel, the fun attire made for dogs (we have a soft spot for our canine friends), or WAACKY, the devilish looking character floating over the booth, we had little choice but to stop and investigate further.

While WAAC (which stands for Win at all Costs) was just introduced to the North American market in 2022, the brand has seen incredible popularity in Asia, particularly in Japan and South Korea. They sponsor a growing stable of PGA and LPGA Tour players, with Kevin Na and Minjee Lee (currently ranked 5th in the world) as their most recognizable names. Since 2016, WAAC has steadily grown from a startup to having wide availability in over 80 stores and pro shops in South Korea to launching 20 of its own stores globally in the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. In the US market, Worldwide Golf Shops offers a huge selection of their wares.

According to the company, WAAC is “a brand created by ‘Golfers’ for ‘Golfers’ to inspire the ‘Golfers’ dream of winning. WAAC stands for ‘Win At All Costs,’ to capture the spirit and resolve to win in the face of challenge.” The company is aware of the game’s growing popularity in the United States, especially with younger players, and their desire for bold fashion choices.

Kim Yoon-kyung, CEO, notes, “Based on our success in the domestic market, we are entering the U.S. market with WAAC’s unique sensibility and strong vibe that can stimulate young golfers.” The company created a special collection for display at the PGA Merchandise Show that was inspired by nature, sea plants to be exact. The unique designs and vivid colors did exactly what they were intended to do by grabbing attendees’ attention.

In addition to full lines of apparel for both men and women, WAAC has an extensive range of accessories like hats, headcovers, socks, and even luggage. As we mentioned earlier, we instantly fell in love with their dog sweaters and are anxiously awaiting their appearance in the online store. Stay tuned to THP for more on this exciting brand in the near future.
Not my favorite approach to apparel but I can see why some may like it. Saw a couple of them on tour yesterday and while I personally didn’t care for the look, they stood out and you knew it was WAAC
The glove they have is the softest and best feeling glove I have ever touched.
Pretty sure we need a dog outfit too.
Not my style but wish them best with a fresh, youthful look.
No something I’d wear but that’s why so many styles exist. Always good to have an option.
I like the character logo and it’s fun they do a (potentially) full family + dog matching outfit thing.
I didn’t see anything that jumped out to me but I’m sure their stuff is great.
I am decades out of this age group but like the idea and the logo. It’s fun…..until you price it. Still it seems trend right and could get traction. They can do their own stores and do ok.
Holy shit their prices are outrageous. That sucks.
Definitely a unique product that people will enjoy. However, $81.99 for a bucket hat is out of my price range.

Yup trying to be the off white of the golf world or something. Sheesh the prices.
Not my style – but love options!
Some interesting designs there, not my style really but someone will love it!
I need an ISAIKI logoed shirt. (I suck and I know it)
I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on some of the PGA Show patterns. Doesn’t look like they’ve hit the US online store yet.
46$ glove ?

$200 for a polo ?
I see a lot of their stuff on the LPGA Tour, seems especially so with the Asian players. Had to Google what “WAAC” was, since it looked like they have a pretty sizable sponsorship stable amongst the ladies.

Yeah that’s what jumped out to me.
most of it isn’t my style but maybe that’s good since it’s expensive AF. Still, kind of an interesting brand that we’ve seen Na wear for a while as well as Minjee as mentioned by Hawk
The saying of Win At All Costs doesn’t sit well with me. It could suggest winning in whatever way you can which brings in negative methods of doing so. That logo is not something I can support or the players that believe it and wear it.
Where in the USA can you buy shoes from?
Mingee is a “ ambassador “ as are several other Predominantly Asian players …. I’ve said previously there’s many brands similar to JDM gear within the Asian sphere , that don’t have the
profile of other more well known…. Not that there’s a quality disparity etc …. It has a different market … and demographic …. That will change lmo.
As for costings being expense – Kjus is Scandinavian, and is equally high in
cost / apparel
