There are golf bags in nearly every style nowadays. From staff bags to the lightest weight bags that only handle a few clubs. Some offer features that we didn’t even think we needed until seeing them. So what is your golf bag missing?

All kidding aside, the Ogio Alpha Convoy 514 RTC absolutely nailed everything I need in a bag. The only minor nag is I wish the single strap was a backback style. Since it’s integrated into the bag, an aftermarket converter isn’t an option. Ogio fixed this with the release of the Convoy SE Stand Bag 14, so if I change, that would be the direction I would currently go.
In all seriousness, the only thing I can think of would be dividers that extended the length of the bag (it’s a 5 way top). This would help reduce the grips getting tangled among each other.
I am toying around with how to get one on their myself… but will have to see. Otherwise I am very pleased with my current bag.
For me, a charging port? As a contractor I have battery everything and most of the newest tools and setups have somewhere to plug in your phone. Maybe I’m spoiled by that, but I don’t see why it needs to be any different for a golf bag. I’ve been thinking about throwing an M12 in mine and cutting a slot for a cable. Let’s add a magnet to slap my phone to the outside of the bag too, while we’re at it. I magnet everywhere else.
A dedicated clear waterproof phone pocket that allows you to use the screen without removing the phone from the pocket
This. I love my bag, but wish it had a putter well.
The backpack strap. It just has the single strap, which is ok, but that’s it from me.
This. 100%. Nothing worse than having your clubs stuck together, especially when a bit of moisture gets introduced into the mix and the grips just glue themselves to each other.
I also wouldn’t mind a larger water proof pocket for wallet/keys that I don’t like leaving in the cart or on my body when swinging.
I would also like a stand bag that has a rigid upper area so that when you belt it in, it doesn’t collapse, and also doesn’t spin in the bag holders on carts.
^^^^^ This. I like to carry and use a push cart, so too many extra "features" is overkill for me. But a separate putter well space would be very helpful. I am also not keen on 14-way tops, so not just that as the only putter well option either.
SO MUCH this. i want my wire brush on one side, and the towel and range finder on the other side. but when they all share the same ring, the wire brush always snags and pulls the fabric on the towel. drives me nuts.
This too…my only gripe about my current bag.
yes to this…
Probably a decent golfer.

Other than that not much. I feel like a simplistic golf bag is ideal. I often get lost trying to remember what pocket I put stuff in. It would be nice just to have one pocket for balls, once for tees, and one for misc personal items such as a valuables pouch, sweater, etc.
Love quoting myself, but I miss having the clip for keys inside the valuables pocket. just that extra insurance in case I am dumb and leave it open. Several companies have it but my current one does not, but about the only thing I would add on currently.
Why not hang the brush off the front handle? It’s what I do and eliminates it messing with my towel.
A bigger towel loop for towels with no hook and grommet.
i’m way too OCD to use something that is not a clip, as a clip!
This ^^^^
Rings…
I like to keep bags simple – SM 3.5 or 4.5 – which is light, good straps, water pouch and rangefinder pockets easily accessible, and full dividers, 4 way divider, double zippers, AND rings on both sides would be a good and lightweight addition.
1. I use a stand bag that I can carry or use push cart with. Sometimes I have to ride in the cart. My current bag has clips on 2 of the 4 strap attachment points. I would like clips on all four so I can take off the carry straps all together when I ride. Small thing but it bothers me to have shoulder straps in the way on the cart.
2. Tee holder on the front of bag. Like sewn in elastic straps to hold a few tees. It seems odd but again just something I had before and no longer have.
