Will Phil Win Post 50? Posted by Josh Babbitt June 15, 2020 65 Comments Last year he had a win and a second place finish. This year he has a third place finish already. Do you think he will win post 50? Follow, Like & Share
Asking genuinely, Which wins don’t matter?
For him? Anything not a US Open.
They did look great over the weekend didn’t they? Oops
Oh man, I think putting on a green jacket or another major would still be pretty darn huge.
Heck I think any win post 50 would be, but those would be pretty big.
I mean I wouldn’t be shocked if it happens. There are certain courses that he can just go out and flat out win on. Pebble Beach Pro Am being on of those events.
I am sure they looked great.. We just didn’t get to see them. I have 100% confidence Phil will win somewhere.. I would be willing to bet he is in contention at the masters this year. I am not saying he will win. But he will be in contention as you can be crazy wild off the tee there and still in the fairway.
But those don’t change his place in golf history, only a US Open and the career grand slam as well as slaying his well known US Open failures will elevate him in golf history.
Pebble Beach came to mind immediately for me too.
I agree and disagree with this. If he picked up another major any where it would be huge. But the career G.S. would be huge’r.. Haha.
This. I agree with JB… again.
I think it’s short sighted to think that anything other than a US Open won’t matter.
I’m not sure I agree.
Picking up his 4th green jacket would be pretty darn big.
Only two players in history have that many.
Actually, 3 players in history, but I agree, a 4th jacket would be YUGE!
But he will still always be remembered as having not been able to close the deal at the US Open. The 4th green jacket will be cool, but it won’t change the way he is talked about in golf history.
We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I dont think most view it that way.
I’ve got no problem with that. It’s the point of topics like these.
I also know others think differently, I’ve just never been a FIGJAM fan like many are.
I for one can’t wait for him to take over the Champions Tour.
He still plays competitive enough to get hot one weekend and get a win. He just needs a limited field and to get hot.
i have to agree with @Jman
Of course it wouldn’t surprise me if he were to a major. Phil is Phil. You never know wiyh him.
I CAN REMEMBER.
IT’S TODAY.
HE’S FIFTY TODAY.
Whew.
I think he’ll have a good enough weekend somewhere to pull one out and just piss everyone who wants to see him go away right off.
