THP is always looking for ways to get feedback from real golfers and with the recent review of the Bridgestone J40 Dual Pocket Cavity irons, many of our readers were excited for the opportunity to try them out.

Rather than sending each person to the golf store in search of these well crafted irons, THP has decided that we are going to bring the irons to each person. Starting today, there will be a signup in the forum where you can put your name down as wanting to test them out. Then THP is going to send out a 3, 6, and 9 iron of the Dual Pocket Cavity irons to the 1st person on the list to test for a week or so. From there, that person will “pay it forward” to the next person and so on down the list.

All we ask is that after you have had the opportunity to test them out, you update your findings on the sample irons before sending them to the next person.

Click here to head into the THP forum and sign up for a fun testing project.

What a cool opportunity for THP’ers to get their hands on some clubs from one of our Morgan Cup 2.0 sponsors!! These are not the easiest clubs to find in local retail stores so I really appreciate this chance.

These are hard to find, much less to test. Having said that, after a good bit of research I made a leap of faith and purchased the Bridgestone DPC (5-P) and satin finish 54 deg. (bent to 53). Project X 5.5 Flghted shafts. I know you will find this hard to believe, but these are cavity back players’ clubs, forged, mid-oversized, shallow C-grind flanges (usually custom only), minimum-low offsets, and an unbelievably high Maltby MPF rating (game improvement). The sole-turf interaction is exceptional. If you are in fact now or have every been a player, these are relatively easy to hit, workable, forgiving, and fairly long. (My only caveat is that the lies are fairly upright and may need adjustment for those of us with flat lie angles.) These are absolutely a “must try” and probably a must buy, if this is what you are looking for. Metrybill
