The Caddy Girls - What?

If the girls they posted were ugly would you take the sight more seriously? Our society is looks oriented and sex sells. They are using a hook which is their looks. If people look past the sex appeal they will see these women know their stuff.

Most guys don't even think of using caddies unless they go to private clubs. So drawing people in is the paramount goal. Their looks shouldn't lessen their skill level or some how diminish their task.

I understand this hard to do when people see a pretty girl, thoughts always tend to go one way.

I think this would be great for a Bachelor weekend where you went to MB and played a round of golf before the festivities that night. Hire a caddy for the groom but tell her she has to mock his golf game every step of the way. Otherwise, not worth it IMO, as they charge even more than the caddies at Pinehurst!

but this isn't really about golf and looking past the sexy. Its the sex appeal itself that is being sold here. Its what the business is selling most of and what the women are making their money on. Both the business and the girls are selling the sexy way more than the golf in this instance. Just look at the pictures. its nothing but sex being sold.

I may be a bit old fashion but I don't like strip clubs and such. Don't get me wrong, I like pretty girls as much as the next guy but I always found it stupid that men are willing to melt into mush like fools and pay like suckers for such things. And the women know they will pay so kudos to them for being smart and that's why such a business will make money.

As far as the golf itself I don't see what any of it does. I don't need this crap in golf but that's just me. I guess if one wants to get their rocks off because they can stand next to, ride with, and look at a sexy girl in a short skirt while they play golf with blue balls the go ahead and pay for it. And then when he gets to his car he can smoke a cigarette after slamming his club in the car door 6 times. Some sarcastic humor there but really I just don't get what it does for golf purposes.

Before you know it they'll be doing this in G-strings and getting even more money and if its ever allowed, (which on a private course it just may be) they'll be doing it naked. They'll find a million girls willing to that too and make great money and find millions of men- fools willing to pay anything for it. Who knows?, may be this will be the next influx for the sport.

This is doubtful, and a bit extreme. Around MB, a majority (if not all) of the golf courses have dress codes, and a G-string is not going to be welcomed on the course. MB tries to do a good job of protecting its image as a family-oriented vacation spot, and I can't see that changing anytime soon. I also doubt the other cities where this service is allowed would permit that either.

Well Caddie girls isn't for you and won't be for everyone. It's a legit service run by some pretty girls. This is completely different then hiring strippers to act as caddies. Been there done that...

yes its extreme I know and I would hope you are right but I wouldn't exactly call this service a family oriented one so although exaggerated it is a step in that direction. People want to take their children golfing too and I don't see sexy woman in short skirts as being a way to keep up the family oriented theme.

Have you watch any women golf lately. Michele wie has skirts on that make me blush. Paula creamer dresses in shorts skirts. The puma girls dress sexy. Are they any less credible because they use their sex appeal? I get it, you don't like looking at girls in short skirts, your more of ankle length skirt guy and use sand as a tee :alien2: but just because a woman is sexy doesn't mean she isn't on top of the job. More than families golf. In fact I see very few families golfing, mainly mean with huge egos. This service is perfect for most guys that will admit to it.

LOl for the sand joke :)
Its not that I don't like looking at girls in short skirts. He was commenting how MB is a family oriented place and wouldn't go in the other direction. And I get what your saying about creamer and such but this specific service being offered is much more about the sex part than it is the golf. With due respect I think its being just a tad naïve to think its not. That's the dominant thing being sold on the website imo. Hiring these sexy caddy's for bachelor parties as advertised is not exactly about the golf is it? I get it, your ok with it, know one is committing a crime here with this. Go ahead and knock yourself out and hire all the sexy caddy's you want. But hiring a caddy that happens to be a sexy girl is a different thing and a different idea than hiring a sexy girl to caddy. One idea is more about the golfing and the other is more about the sexy. This specific service from this business is imo more about the sexy. I dont think that can be denied. If that's what one wishes to purchase than go ahead. But lets not think this is really about the golf.

Like anything on the consumer market a person has the ability to purchase or not purchase something based on their likes/dislikes. It sounds like there are some biased views based solely on the sex and attire of the caddies here. There are and will be great caddies, good caddies and bad caddies regardless of what sex they are. Maybe there are some intimidation factors here where guys don't want to have a good looking female caddy go around with them while they hack it up. I am sure many people feel that way about any caddy out of respect for the caddy and the work they do.

These caddy girls are an option and not a requirement for playing a course. I never knock someone for trying to make money and form a business. Its up to the person/company to represent themselves in the best light and use the marketing skills to their benefit to attract consumers to their goods/services. Depending on the course or experience I may or may not pay for a caddy. If i was playing Old Course, Pinehurst, Bethpage, etc I would pay for a caddy to get everything out of the experience as possible. Other than that I probably wouldn't.

Choices are good. If you like this sort of thing, go for it. If not, nobody is putting a gun to your head.

lol @ the "hot women are ruining golf" mentality ITT. Pretty simple, they will offer a service that survives or fails based on the demand. Uninterested golfers are not compelled to hire them, nor are they required to dine at Hooter's, go to strip clubs, watch the attractive news anchor vs the stodgy one, or even watch porn.

I probably wouldn't go for it during a "normal" round but for a "special" occasion such as a bachelor party or taking customers out for a big deal, provided they want it, I'll pony up.
I think we can all agree though that they will either thrive or not based on their ability. But I can't blame them for trying to make a living.

We should have hired them for my bachelor party round a couple of weeks ago. That would have been fun. I would not have any problem hiring them for a special occasion round. A little pricey for a weekly thing.

Well, I will post a review in here in a couple of weeks. My buddy turns 30 this year so for one of the golf rounds we chipped in and hired a caddy for him. Should be fun.

Will be good to get a first hand account to clear the air in this thread a little.

Well, I had somebody lined up from Jaguars but she backed out when she heard Big Time wasn't coming.

I've played a few rounds with Caddy Girls in MB. It's a lot of fun, most are college girls making a few extra bucks. Just don't get carried away with it.

Would like to hear more about your experience Dave.

You mean ask human and not an animal? Act like you've done this before?

Oitw's unofficial review

Oitw's unofficial review

I was in Myrtle Beach this past weekend playing a few rounds with my college buddies. For one of our rounds we hired one of The Caddy Girls.

FEE:
For the round it is $149 per girl, $49 goes to the service and $100 goes to the caddie. You have the option to pay the full amount to the booking consultant online or pay the $49 and the balance is paid to the caddie when you meet them. Then you can tip them out after that. We opted for paying the service fee and then giving our caddie cash.

BOOKING:
I worked with Alyssa as my booking consultant, she was friendly, prompt with responses and very knowledgeable. She provided us with a list of caddies and also one that were not on the site yet. She also sent a follow-up email to ask how everything went. Very good service from them.

EXPERIENCE:

For one of our rounds (played at Myrtle Beach National: West Course) we hired a caddie girl. Her name was Samantha (Profile)

TWO DISCLAIMERS:

1) It was FREEZING COLD during our round (well all of our rounds down there) and I think it took away from the fun a little bit.

2) If you want a serious caddy experience (by serious I mean professional caddie experience - yardages, cleaning clubs, reading putts etc.) this is NOT for you.

The only negative review for her is the fact that she did arrive at 1pm, which was our tee time. I was told that the caddies arrive 20 minutes before, lucky for us it wasn't too busy and we weren't holding anyone up.

Sam was very attractive, both of my buddies loved her. She had a great personality, she definitely helped keep the group lose, she had some great stories about some of the other caddy girls and there groups as well as some groups that she worked for. She could hit a golf ball which was cool when we used "guest drives" on a couple of holes. She definitely worked in my favor when we came up with bets and egged my buddies on to take them.

She drove one of the carts with my other buddy in it, she pulled clubs and put them back for us - tended the pin and raked the bunkers. Was a great cheerleader on some phenomenal shots.

I did ask her to read a couple of putts, but she wasn't very helpful in that department (I probably could have been more specific in my question, or asked a follow-up):

Me: "What's the read here"?

Sam: "A little left"

I also didn't ask her for yardage, since I had my range finder.

This didn't bother me though, having an extremely knowledgeable looper wasn't what this was about for us and going in we knew that. If I was playing an Augusta National or St. Andrews, I would have different expectations.

SUMMARY:

I really wish the weather wasn't as cold as it was, I definitely think that put a damper on the whole experience.

I definitely felt (with the expectations going in) that we got what we got our money's worth and I definitely had one of the best times on a golf course that I've ever had. Having a Caddy Girl definitely brought a different dynamic to the round that I haven't experience before.

I would like to reiterate though that if you're expecting a full caddie experience or you take your self too seriously on the course (you know who you are or you know someone like that) this is definitely not for you.

A couple of pics:

It's just about having fun. My group has been going down to MB for over 20 years, and we've hired the Caddy Girls for the last 5 or so. We've had as many as 7 caddies for the 12 guys in the group. One year I had an LPGA instructor as a caddy (think about that, great looks and serious advice!)

Agree with what's been said, if you want a "serious" caddy, it's hit-or-miss. The owner, Meghan, knows her stuff, plays well, and is a great caddy - she trains her staff well, but as the business grows, there are growing pains with new girls learning the ropes to be decent caddies.

We're not all scratch players, so for us it's more about having a really fun round.

My $0.02
