I'm with ya 100%. I like to flip through it, but THP gets me the real info.

I do like seeing the SSB's, Dog Leg Right (Machine), TP Mills, and Byron Morgan's of the world on there though.

Highlights: entire J40 line, Boccieri hybrids & FW woods, SCOR4161.

Hope some of the lesser known brands making GREAT stuff get their deserved exposure.

I don't hate the hot list, but I hate how demand is a criteria. Maybe they should call it the hipster hot list. So many clubs would be gold if it was not for that factor.

RBZ got gold, Fast 12 got silver.

FWIW, testers were more impressed with the RBZ hybrids than the fairway woods.

After reading through, yet another example of why I despise the "Hot List".

I'll do my buying, as usual, based on THP in hand reviews by hackers like us.

Was glad to see SCOR get good marks, though the "Not" was a knock on there being no special groove story....seriously?

They are always going to bias the major OEMs over the smaller ones. I bet they put the R11S, RBZ, Razr Fit, etc... all on there before the testing even started.

It's always an interesting read, but I don't put alot of stock in it...If I wanna know something about a paticular club or bag or ball or anything else golf related, I'll ask around here and get real world infomation on it.

The GD Hot List - usually interesting, occasionally intriguing, always annoying. I'm surprised they revealed all of the clubs that were tested - have they ever done that before? Maybe they'll list the actual scores for all of the items tested this time as well.

Of course, I've only ever checked out what they put on their website, so I hope I'm not off-base with the above comment. Maybe I'll buy a copy this year after all.

The Editor's picks were what the Editor's liked the best, not necessarily what clubs got the best overall ratings. That said, all of the clubs that were picked got very good ratings. There were 4 Editor's picks: Callaway Razr Fit driver, TaylorMade RBZ hybrid, Ping i20 irons, Titleist Vokey SM4 wedges.
