Ben Hogan Player's Combo Set

As those following along with THP TV as well as the ongoing testing of the new ICON irons from Ben Hogan golf (here for @ddec and @KEV feedback: https://www.thehackersparadise.com/forum/index.php?threads/ben-hogan-icon-irons.8916396/ ) know that the company is also releasing combo options with PTx Pro's splitting into the ICON irons at the 7/8 and the option of PTx Pro in the 4i, the new UiHi, or VKTR+ hybrid.

Well, at the price these come in at ($785 for UiHi/Ptx and $815 with VKTR+), I just couldn't resist and pulled the trigger on the 4 UiHi configuration. With the COVID craziness and all the orders Ben Hogan has been taking, it took until today to get them, but, in hand they're worth the wait.

I'm currently doing some spec checks on the set, and I will have some things to day there as I ordered them at 2 up and want to see just how close to ordered spec these are coming in at.

Small loft labeled is the biggest nitpick on the Utility. Like I said very small.

I also wish there were a few more grip options, but easy to regrip. Same with utility iron shaft options - easy to change.

The way those three shapes blend into a combo set together is pure. I love the photo of the soles lined up in particular.

That v-sole really is noticeable without a full sole pic, loving the new options and choices and prices BH are throwing at the market.

Yeah, when there were some pics here on THP earlier comparing the ICON and Pro's I was worried, but I def think it was a pic angle thing. Its why it tried to get them all set up even and level for a good visual

Like I said they were nitpicks not deal breakers. At least it has a 4 (same size as irons) on it instead of only the loft so I can mentally blend it into my iron set. That was one thing that bugged me about Srixon and Callaway utilities were those numbers. This is much more subtle.

I wouldn't be surprised if a box shows up in a few months with these in them. I'm sure the Tour-V will be a good fit coming from Modus 130 and the combo between the different clubs looks great.

Absolutely beautiful combo set. I obviously already know the PTx Pro part of it like the back of my hand and am really looking forward to your feedback on the UiHi and ICON short irons.

I don't see any backside hanging out behind the top line on the 4i. This makes me even more stoked to get the 3 UiHi in hand. My one minor gripe with current utilities the Srixon Ux5 series is maybe a touch too much junk in the trunk.

I put a second pic of that one in there to show the cavity, it’s way more deep than I realized, and it’s a good look at address as you mentioned.

I am so excited to hear your thoughts on these. I just feel like a combo set could be the absolute perfect way to go with these.

Honestly the best looking irons to hit the market. They just seem to capture the look and aura of what an iron should look like. I may need to sell off my stockpile and grab a set of these.
