Anyone have any experience with these? Saw the commercial on the Golf Channel last night. Very similar to the Xe1 wedge in terms of build (65* and large sole) and technique style (play it straight forward).

Coming from the Smart Sole 2.0 58* this intrigues me as I'd love a higher lofted Smart Sole.

Seems pretty crazy to have that much loft with that large of a sole, but I can see where some of these chippers and chip/wedges can have a place in people's bags.

already having the 1OutS wedge which i like made me purchase the C3i on a whim I'll let you know if it is as good or better.

Cool thanks

Would you be able to post some in hand pics. Would like to see it

Seems like a great option for those who struggle with traditional wedges.

It's got a gimmicky look but I prefer the look over the Xe1 which is a similar club.

I had the chance to hit one of these ... I liked it ... going to use it on the course soon. So far just in my backyard putting green which has about about 15 ft to work with, and of course no bunker to hit out of.

I love how the C3i uses the identically named patented "autoglide" sole as the Xe1. That should be he next club comparison test; all the infomercial automatic wedges versus each other.

Crazy looking! I already leave chips short so don't know if this would be good for me with that much loft. I have never heard of or seen this before today but crazy!

I would sign up for that test! Not sure why these club interest me so much. I currently have in the "chipper" family, a Callaway, Cleveland, and now this C3i.

Here is the odd part, I really did not feel I was struggling chipping ... they just interest me ...

Yes - I have been using clubs of this design for 6 years. The Maltby Design Glider 1.62 - 56 Degree & 60 degree, which I built myself are identical design and much less expensive if you know anything about component club building. This designed heads really really work. I never have trouble getting out of sand. I'm a high handicap er 18 and 70 years old. If you want me to build you a club, get in touch with me. Cost is very low. Head is $35 then u pick shaft and grip. But just want to repeat - this design does work as advertised.

I've never seen it, but it's not something I'm sure I'd mess with. Crazy look to it.

This would be near impossible to clean. Although if it works...

The C3i is a more versatile wedge. Also has better feel and is noticeably more forgiving. My sand game is not the best, that is why a bought this wedge. My chipping game, however, is pretty good. With the height and spin that you get from this wedge, you can get to a lot a places on the green. I played with a LPGA player this weekend and she was shocked at how I was able to get close on some really tough pin placements. I highly recommend this wedge, but I am going to try the Callaway Sure Out. I would want this wedge in a 58 degree also.

Thanks for the feedback. How is it holding up condition wise ?

Firstly, I have never purchased an infomercial club in my life. I am a 14 index and when I practice, I have an adequate, but not great sand game. About every 5 times in the sand, I might leave one in the trap a second time, despite the open face and open stance. I was at a course recently in Napa where either someone left one of these at a par 3 or they deliberately stationed one in a stand next to the green. I was like, "hey, this is that club from the commercial, I need to see if it works." Stepped into the bunker, squared the club (rather than opening the face) and pop the ball effortlessly out of the bunker. I need to have one of these I said. Told my buddy, hey you should try this too, it's free what's the harm. He goes in and has the same result. We both purchased after the round

A word of caution about the purchase process. We both tried to buy on our iphones from the website. The site is pure snake oil. You have to wade through a bunch of advertising crap and useless links and videos to get to the place where you can simply purchase the club. What's worse, however, is that you cannot seem to get to the purchase screen unless you click "add a GX-7" fairway wood. My buddy couldn't get past, and I clicked the Gx-7 figuring i could back it out at the purchase screen. Guess what? You can't. It took a while to get a confirmation email but when I did, I was pissed I got a GX-7 added to my order for "only" $199. I called customer service and replied to the email too informing them that it was a false and deceptive business practice and that they needed to immediately credit my card for the fairway wood I did not want. They did. They were quick and the credit happened very quickly. I was impressed. I hate their sales techniques, but their CX was first rate.

I have used the club on two rounds and practiced with it for two weeks--not just in the bunker but from around the green. It's actually quite amazing, and feels like cheating. I've never hit a 64 degree wedge before, so I cannot say if the 65 degree loft is the thing making all the difference. From the sand, it's automatic. I never leave a shot in the bunker, like ever. Even after the massive California rains we have had, with sand that is like cement. I went in anyway, eschewed the winter rules that we play that allows us to pick it out, and popped them all out effortlessly. Like freaking magic. All you do is hit it square and hit two inches behind the sand. That's it. It's that easy and it's automatic. Changed the way I feel about bunkers.

Around the greens, as you would expect, it flies very high and lands like a cat. It's crazy how much this thing stops. Again, it might be the loft, same as any 64 degree wedge, but it works. It takes a lot of getting used to around the green because if you're like me and chip regularly with the 56, it's hard to have the confidence to take the big swing necessary. Also, your game has to be set up to play the ball in the air. Most teaches like the chips to get on the ground so this is a different game. I like it, and I like to be able to float the ball to a stop, but it's actually better for my game to get the ball rolling on the greens with my 56. Still, it's a nice addition for those times when you need to flop without having to open way up and risk running the club under the ball.

I thought about buying a second one in case this company goes out of business. Decided to hold off for now. One thing I don't like is the durability. It looks good. Should have mentioned that it looks like a regular wedge at address when you are standing over it, and the quality seems good. The grip is decent, and the finish is nicely done. Until...that is you get bag chatter. I expected some but after the first round in my bag, the paint was off the back and it was chipped on the bag edge. That seems bad for a wedge, even though we all expect bag chatter. I expected some (my clubs are forged and I don't care to use iron covers, because dings just happen) but after a single round? I think that's a little quick. I expressed the same to the company and they are sending a replacement (though I expect the same thing to happen). Still another vote of confidence for the CX experience.

If anyone could compare this to the sure out that would be much appreciated.

It's hard to say but it looks like the trailing edge on the sure out is smaller.

I bought one and I absolutely love it, I get out of the sand every time now and save my game several strokes anytime a bunker comes into play.
it also is great for chip & lob shots under 50 yards.
i screwed so many sand shots up with a traditional sand wedge but not now.

i saw this on facebook a month ago and even though its a mens club I bought it for my wife, to be clear my wife is beyond terrible in bunkers,
to the point where she will max out her score on the hole. Last week she went into 8 bunkers on our home course, she took a total of 9 shots
to get out of which 2 of them were gimme range (inside a foot) and another hit the flag. The difference in height between her original wedge
and this is maybe 1/2 inch but I think she prefers the extra weight. The one problem she has now is the loft around the greens, its too much for
her game so she needs to work on it.

C3i wedge

I'm intrigued. So much so that I just bought one. As a mid handicapper that has nowhere to practice bunker shots, I think this will help.

Edited.
I cancelled my order. After taking to my pro it was decided this wasn't for me.
Had a quick sand lesson and was 6/6 getting out of the bunker last game.

I am really curious about this club. I am debating between this or the xe1. Is there any added advantage of the c3i over the xe1 (outside of the c3i being better looking .. in my opinion)?

I just got back from florida and used the c3i for the first time and was amazed how well it worked out of the sand and around the greens. This club on tight lies was unreal, the extra loft made the ball go straight up in the air and check. Out of the sand i couldn't believe how easy it was to get the ball out without going too deep and the club not digging. I highly recommend this club!!!

I find club super easy to hit from bunker. From rough/ fairway distances can be a challenge.
