Yep. Could have told you that it's not always a good idea or sustainable. Good for him to try to eat right instead of going too far one way or the other.

He tried something, it won him a US Open now he’s trying something else. Not much different from most top athletes chopping and changing strategy to try to be the best they can be.

Bryson da man! Keeping it real!

no ****, sherlock

“I had such huge mood swings from it,” he said, noting his face had thinned out and all the inflammation is gone from his system. “I look like I’m 20 again, not 35.”

CALM DOWN THERE BRYSON. We didn’t look like we were stung by bees at 35!

It helped get him a US Open. Not bad for a short term solution but agree not sustainable.

I thought the same. But, I remember all the hysteria over the distances that he was hitting the ball. Remember the tournament where he was driving over the horseshoe lake on a par 5, and the crowd would go crazy every time he cleared the water? People were cheering him on. Go "mad scientist" and all that!

Worth it. This was ******* awesome!

What was that drink he had at every press conference? I wonder if that's what screwed up his stomach.

I give him props for admitting mistakes. Also think it’s pretty cool what he says about going to each extreme to see what works for him.

I gotta think that some of it was sparked by his being intimidated by Brooks. A passive way of saying through bulk, "back off."

Wasn’t he implying this earlier in the season when he was having dizzy spells and trouble concentrating?

Could be on to something. Pretty sure he was drinking protein shakes like it was water. Have you been around people who drink protein shakes? It does something wicked to their stomachs alright.

Yeah I was a trainer and strength and conditioning specialist, that's part of why I'm wondering. Supplemental things can be tricky, and the effects can build over time.

Well. This is unsurprising.

Golf and bulking up long term doesn’t work. Can’t think of one successful pro golfer who is ‘jacked” flexibility is kind of important. Look at JT or others who hit it plenty far they are like beanpoles

Take a look at Tigers early years vs dominant years. I would say bulking up was in the cards. I would also argue he didn’t do it clean either.

I’ve thoroughly tested out the overweight and out of shape extreme. No distance gains to be found here 😂

That said I am happy and I poop every day which if Bryson was drinking protein shakes like speculated above he was not.
