Surprising, I have two pairs of these and not had this happen on either pair. I would take them back. Pics?

I can take some pictures this weekend: Not that they will be very interesting! The damage is very much superficial, to the surface. Other than the aesthetic aspect there is nothing wrong with the shoes. I won't be taking them back, I am pretty sure that given time the same would happen to the replacement pair.
