just ranting....
FYI - it's always a good idea to run MWBytes in safemode.
also, did you check these two threads?:

program possibly related to BS or Verizon.
and it won't let you delete it, if it is running in the system tray.
in safemode...could try two things:
rename the file, then try to delete.
or take ownership of file and try to delete.
Ok, do I need to do anything before I "run" the CCleaner?
Had to get on my phone, made me close my window.No. Just make sure you back up when it asks (before you remove the entries).

Ok. Its saying it will permanently delete files.
Adobe flash player is one of them, and I don't want that deleted. Over 1800 MBs to be deleted from all of them put together. Don't get anything about a "backing up" when I click run cleaner, just the delete message.
Just want to make sure I do all this right...

After you run your Registry Cleaner (Again, not "Cleaner" but "Registrty"), you can click on the Tools tab and clean out your startup items. There are better startup tools out there, but this one is much better than msconfig. You might be surprised at how much stuff you have starting every time your computer starts. A lot of programs automatically set themselves to start when your computer starts, and if you don't need them to, you should turn them off.
The more things start when your computer starts, the slower it's going to run.
I had a popup like this sometime ago on my old laptop and after about a week of having it pop up I decided to address it. My anti virus (Norton) would not find anything so our tech guy at work told me to just do a system restore back to a date where I didn't have the problem and it worked. The popup was gone and never returned.
Norton is the most gawd awful attempt at an AV ever and this is a perfect example of why.
Wow just clicked on it and I have a ton of stuff!
Fixed 330 problems to!! Boom winner! haha
Thank you!
No, it saves it by itself.Do I need to save after I disable the things I don't need at start up or does it just automatically save it for me? I see this save to text file
but dont think I need to
do that.

Run a defrag and reboot and then check it again. Run Malwarebytes again too (run TWO anti spyware programs, none of them catch everything - - -I'll run three of them sometimes). The defrag and reboot again.
Use Auslogics Defrag.
Malwarebytes is still going! 1 hour and 25 minutes so far. 160 thousand objects scanned and 46 infected. Does it usually take this long? I made it scan everything.
Auslogics Bootspeed defrag?

Step one: Unplug the computer
Step two: Open Window
Step three: Propel computer out window
Step four: Get a Mac
Step five: Kick down the porn habit a notch or two.
I actually like my Laptop. Got it a few years ago and it has done me no wrong. Its a dell inspiron, one of the older models. But I like it.
Will try to cut back on step 5 though. :act-up:
Well crap. I deleted some of it before I did. But I just deleted all of it while it was doing it. Hopefully it didnt screw it up.

My Dell lasted me 3yrs and then could barely get up and running.
Step 5 is probably why this thread exists.
