This is the 1st time in a while that I have seen so many good drivers all come out at the exact same time or close to the same time. Any one of these drivers I would put in my bag and be fine with. (well, almost any one)
 
So many drivers....so little cash :angry:
 
I agree a great picture wish I was there. All of these drivers are great just comes down to which one you like and works for you. I always like to find equipment that is a little different and something alot of people don't use alot I like to be different. As long as it works.
Do you know why Cobra didn't send the S2 driver?

It is the same reason they did not send the ZL and we had to get it from other channels (local rep). Unfortunately without their permission I cannot post the information. However I will say this. We now know why they fare so well in the Hot List each year, and why the 30 or so testers in the hot list find the drivers work so well for them. THP was not willing to do what they wanted us to, so we had to find the drivers a different way to include them.

I'm counting down the days till Thursday and next couple of months to try all these drivers out.

And that... is why so many people are using this site and buying up THP magazine.
 
I agree! I'm new to this forum and looks like I need to get signed up for the magazine. I'l be checking this website everyday now.

I realize most folks on THP are not Cobra fans and that is cool :arrogant:
After saying that, If I could find an 8.5 ZL Cobra with a quality shaft I would absolutely love it. I got some pretty Nickent 4DX Pro irons in the Buy,Sale, Trade section and I would love to work a deal out with ya!!! :blob: Same for a Cobra S9-1 Pro D 9.5. The Nickent Player irons are headed to Macon Thursday a.m. They sure are pretty and ready for a trade :eek:)

I wouldnt say that. I was a huge fan of their L4V and the model before that. However I dont think they have put out any real decent drivers since then. My opinion only. The latest superlight driver is one of the worst head and shaft combos I have tried in the entire time I have reviewed clubs here.

They were the kings of drivers or near the top for a number of years. I believe (again my opinion) is that Acushnet botched this merger really bad.

The trade option for a ZL 8.5 or S9 Pro D is now not an option. I have something coming in the mail soon :D It's not a ZL.

The Nickent Irons are still on Ebay so anyone interested take a look.

Great post JB- I love to hear about this behind the scenes stuff. I'm sure I'd/we'd all be surprised with some of the shenanigans that some of these club co.'s try to (and sounds like do) get away with.
 
In our dealings with every single company out there, we have only seen "shenanigans" with one company.
