Maybe they should post a few pictures at the clubhouse of the results of getting hit by a ball. Maybe that reminder would stick with some people out on the course and make them a bit more careful.

My playing partner once suffered a cracked rib after being hit with a golf ball. We were searching for his ball in some heavy rough left of the fairway and called for the group behind us to play through. We both got safely behind a tree before the group behind us hit their tee shots...or so we thought. First guy hit it left and it slammed into a tree with the resulting bounce sending it straight into the third rib of my playing partner. Judging from his scream I would say it hurt and the xrays later confirmed that...
