It's not loud at all. Actually, most of the time there is no sound at all. You have to tune your car radio into 93.5 fm to hear it. I only turn the sound on for a few hours on the weekend and even then its pretty low.

Don't get me wrong, I love this stuff! I'm just glad it's not around me.
