Charlotte (Bronte, not Austen) was great. Emily never did anything for me.

But c'mon, Persuasion is lovely. Older, wiser heroine--lost love reappears and comes through. What every post-pubescent woman dreams about.

I was traumatized! LOL. IIRC I had to write three papers for that class. I didn't write the third and the grade went in as incomplete. I finally wrote it one day before the grade turned to an F. Ended up with a B. I do not remember reading Persuasion. I took quite a few lit classes in my long and not so illustrious academic career. My favorites being a southern novel class, and an American Humor class. A J.D. Salinger/John Updike class was also really good. The most painful being the Austen/Bronte class and Post Modern lit. The latter made me feel quite stupid.

a report on CNN that NASA discovered 1.3 TRILLION tons of ice in craters on the moon that had previously been hidden in shadows along its North Pole. Fascinating!
