What do you do for a living?

Nothing. I'm sort of retired. I say "sort of" because when I ceased working as a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager three years ago I fully expected to miss it and go back part time. So far I haven't missed counting by fives at all! The thing I DO miss is the income, but hey.........a person's got to hang up the spatula one day or another. (I keep my license active just in case I have a momentary lapse of reason and decide to go hang out in a pharmacy again.

you doing GIS and remote sensing?

Yes I do. I am kinda the GIS geek of the office.

My wife will be graduating this spring with her focus in GIS. Right now she's doing an internship with DGS, mapping sewage systems around the city. She loves it and kinda went down that path b/c no one in her undergraduate program (forestry) was into GIS. Seems that there's a lot of demand for this but not a whole lot of folks out there that "like" it.

I have no clue what any of that means, but a girlfriend of mine who's a cartographer is working for the city of New York, computer mapping everything for their emergency response system. She says it's the sexiest thing a cartographer can do.
