I’m still looking forward to the @Wildcat4life 3i

When I was at Edel HQ they didn’t even have one for me to see 🤷‍♂️

These were a lot more easier to hit than I thought. We had limited range time but I can only remember a couple of shots that I did not hit well.

mistakes were made with the weights but I will get time to adjust now.

i had a big draw with the 8 iron and @JB suggested I use the 10 on the toe and 8 in the center as opposed to what I had. The shot was perfectly straight. @EdelBlake was so excited. “I told you the SMS works”.

Big things are coming

So I changed all the higher lofted clubs from 2-10-8 to 2-8-10 to promote more of a straighter flight and not the pull/draw. But I think it will ultimately come down to one of these setups for me:

2-2-8
2-2-10
2-2-6
2-6-8
2-6-10
2-8-10

The ability to customize is unbelievable

That's a quite the SW movement in that collection from extreme point to point. If I'm understanding correctly.

Haven't experienced SMS yet, but soon.

Would all the clubs get the same movement at the same time?

No I think I have to tinker with each club to get optimal results. But I think I have a starting point with each club

Beyond excited I get to do this, and many many thanks to :edelgolf: and :thp: for the opportunity to test and review not just 1, but 2 sets of beautiful irons…..from the same company. This season the standard SMS irons, shafted with :UST: Recoil 110’s will be going up against my shiny new SMS Pro irons, shafted with:projectx: LZ 6.0’s. If anyone has any questions, please let me know, here are some side by sides of the set 7’s, I’ll try to get some up soon of the 5i and PW!

I agree. The feel is so impressive. I have been hesitant about playing a true players iron for a long time. But with limited time they give you the feedback at the same time being a little more forgiving than I thought.

They are beautiful but the ability to customize makes me so excited. In a few years all the larger OEMs will adapt this tech. But I’m not sure they will be able to match the quality. That’s what these irons are about. Tech and Quality

Besides the smaller head. I would think the biggest difference between the Pros and the Standard is the sole. The tri milled sole just sets it apart. Not many irons have that. But look at the leading and trail edge. Both make it easier to not dig and get through the ball with forgiveness
