I was worried about that, and the potential sound (crinkle) but wearing around this morning no issues for me.
 
Though the pink laces are 1000% going in them

The materials will loosen up overtime and fraying may happen. The fraying is done on purpose from the continuous wear.

Yeah I get the fraying part.

The last “recycled” pair I had from them was stiff and wore a hard crease in the toe that made them super uncomfortable.
They look like very different materials though.
 
They look cool. I didn’t find the Pegasus particularly comfortable, at all, when I tried them on at PGASS.
