In most cases the players are kind of told what outfit to put on at the course by their sponsor. Atleast for every single player we have spoken to about it on the PGA Tour that is at a certain level. All of the apparel companies carefully select the apparel for each player each day.

That's really interesting JB, never knew that. I always just figured they had tons of clothes by their sponsors and were free to choose what at any given time as long as they were sportin' it.

Something tells me that the higher caliber players have a lot more freedoms when it comes to their outfits. I just cant see any wardrobe designer thinking Phil would look good like that, I think white shoes could of at least help. He looks like a "Storm trooper".
I might head down there today or tomorrow, the parking is a nightmare. I wonder how many people show up this weekend. They did a really crappy job locally of promoting it.

Sorry...but Phil needs a fashion consultant. He is NOT Camilo and yet some how he is trying to be. Oh my...it's too sad for words. A man his age trying to dress like someone half his age and even worse...half his weight. Ouch!!!

I started watching the broadcast and Peter Kostis just said that Phil Mickelson was "so frustrated with yesterday's round" that he had Butch Harmon flown in last night.

Not sure why folks like to bag on Phil so much, i'm not a fan of his but the guy has a butt load of talent & isn't that bad of a dresser. Sure beats the heck out of the way Jesper Parnevik dresses.

Phil looks really good today. I do not think he played that poorly yesterday. The putts for just lipping out. BUt right now he looks dialed in.

As much as I hate "Get in the hole!" man and "You da' man" guy, I just heard something worse.
Some freakin' yahoo screams right after Mickelson's impact (i.e. no way he knew how the shot would turn out) "SOMEBODY HIT A SHOT TODAY!!!" It wasn't even geniune displease, but obviously premeditated screaming in the same vain as "Get in the hole."
When I win the lottery and start the Harry Longshanks Invitational Open Classic Heritage Memorial, I'm gong to put on the back of the ticket that anyone screaming idiotic (in the sole opinion of me) phrases will be immediately escorted off the premises and doused in the contents of the players' port-o-potty.
