Today I used some of the Hot Hands warmers... the kind that you shake, use, then throw away. They worked ok, nut really didn't get all that warm.

When I got home I googled for some electric/rechargeable ones and there are only a few choices. Has anyone used them? Are they worth it?

This is the one that looked kinda promising for the price... http://www.p3international.com/products/p8420.html

I just got these recently http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005MIM8U0

If you buy cheaper Roberson lighter fluid (made by zippo) it breaks down to $1 per. I have 2 of them. I also like the grabbers weekender pack. It's 4 hand warmers 4 foot warmers and 4 body warmers for a weekends worth of heat at about $10

The key with the Hot Hands warmers is to open them before you get out in the cold, they last for a long time so open them when you leave the house. This will give them a chance to get up to temp, then toss them in a pair of mittens or your pockets.

I haven't tried any of the other ones.

I have a couple of the 'Heat in a click' warmers that you click a disc inside them and they activate from a liquid to a solid state as they get warm. You then soak them in warm water later to return them to their original state and they can be re-used

Will try to post a link later when I am at my pc

I used Hot Hands for the first time today (have forgotten to take them out last twice doh) and opened in them in the house at half twelve and shook them about a bit to activate properly, they were toasty at tee off at 1:15 and are still plenty warm now at 17:15.

I'll be getting more but using one at a time I think, two was overkill.

I have one of those hand warmers that football players use that hangs around their waist. I don't both with the heat packs, as a good insulated and windbreaking material will keep my hands warm just fine. When I am up to hit, I just spin it around to my back and it's out of the way. Also has a pocket inside to hold my gps.

I LOVE these. Bought two and they get very warm/hot.

Only issue is the process of refilling these stupid things. Very tedious. But they last up to 8 hrs and if you take the cover off that's provided, they are very warm in low temps.

Im still trying to figure out how you could possibly need hand warmers in Texas...:confused2:

I was looking at these... do they stink?

I use the ones fir your feet. They are smaller and simply peel the sticky and fold in half. Then stick one in my pocket, or both.

If it got up to 40-45 around me right now, I'd be on the course in shorts...

That is good to know. Last time I used them I waited until I was outside to open them up. Will do this next time I play.

Is 40 supposed to be cold or something? ;)

40s? Anything below 60 is cold for me. And 60-70 with all clouds/no sun and some wind, you'll find me shivering.

I can walk multiple rounds in 100+ though with no problem!
