What do you know about Callaways hickory shafted Little Poison II?

These things are all over ebay and craigslist. I'd like to try a hickory shafted putter just for kicks and these are nice looking putters but they are stamped on the bottom "Steel Core."

Now what does that mean? Does that mean there is a steel rod down the middle of that hickory shaft? If I'm going to do this I want a real hickory shaft!

Anybody know anything about these?

No idea. What I do know is that I have no desire to hit a hickory shafted club.

Louisville Golf has some excellent retro hickory putters. I don't know anything about the Callaway. Sorry.

This makes it look like it's not a true hickory shafted putter. It appears the shaft has a steel core in it.

Yes. Says hickory shaft with steel core. Sounds like veneer... I'd stay away.
