The book, and movie, are good, and General Scott is very, very highly regarded around these parts. The museum on base has a large section devoted to him and there are two golf tournaments in his name that benefit the (non-profit) museum as well. They are big-whig, high dollar scrambles, that one day I hope to play in. We're talking, Senators, Congressmen, retired Generals, Admirals, and basically not your everyday kind of person playing a scramble.
